Trying to download Game

Hi, i had to dump my computer to get rid of the virus known as "The Blue Screen of Death", so i came back to try and redownload the game but it only gets to like the 6 file out of 17 when an error box pops up saying that components have been moved to compability mode.

I've Windows Vista. But i've not try to do the torrent thing, i've no clue how to use those things was trying to do all this with direct download.

HELP!!!!b:cry

edit: also it wont let me download it to my computer's program files. it'll only let me download to my document's subfodler named downloads.

    the bsod isnt a virus.

    same see BSoD as a virus, in all technicality, it acts like one.

    but I digress..

    BSoD is caused by hardware and software, so if you built that PC, make sure it's connected properly. if you didn't, then reinstall drivers.

    well, since you clearly didn't build it.. (no PC builder would ask that question) the best way to go about it would be to find out what cards and chipsets are in your pc and reinstall the drivers for them. You'll have to google your PC model to find out what you have.

    Getting the BSoD is a bugger ... b:surrender

    Has your computer started acting slow?
    Do you get the BSoD Often?

    If so i recommend that if you have your Windows Vista Disc, you Reformat your computer. The files that you want, Just back them up on some sort of storage unit, like a USB stick. This will wipe everything but this might be your last resort b:surrender

    After you have done that, make sure that you re download your firewall and antivirus before surfing the web, Go onto PWI and Download the client again b:victory

    If you just been getting that recently. You can try doing a system restore on a few days or week before you got that issue.

    i found out that some of the download spots don't work which is why u get those errors here's the spot i went to http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=87242 at the top of the page it says download click that and it might work for u it did me

    thanks to all, this is the first time getting it, and john_henry ill try that b4 all that other stuff. i really dont want to crash my comp. knowing my dumb self thats exactly wat'll happen.
