Pet Skills what to get?

Hi everyone thought that since there are many venos in the pwi and forum b:chuckle someone might be able to help me with my pet skills. So please leave your thoughts and suggestions. I've heard there are legendary pet skills, should I be interested in getting does instead?

GlacialWalker they said on the forum threads that he should be better than Crystalline Magmite so hope they knew what they talked about
Icicle lvl2 to lvl5 or change for bashing
Roar lvl2 need to lvl?
Though lvl2 -> lvl5?
Something needed here?

Frogling my tank for coming magic heavy bosses
Toxic Mist lvl1 should I lvl this or get bashing?
Shriek lvl1 lvl?
Boost lvl1 change to roar? haven't have any good experience of boost being useful just me?
get exorcism?

So please post what skill should be added and what shouldn't. What's your thoughts?

    I would like to know too - especially what skills should a glacial walker have to make it as good a tank as possible. I've got enough money to have my pet unlearn/learn skills, but I am nowhere near the budget to buy a herc, so I will have to stick with my walker for quite a time. Should I get Bash or Flesh Ream? Is Icicle good or should I drop it? Is it a good idea to level up Tough?

    None of the pets listed are worth investing much into.

    Yes, Bash would be better for Glacial Walker than Icicle. BUT: I would suggest that Icycle may get you by.

    Frogling is worthless other than for aesthetics. Even a Carapest Terror finds little use, but it comes with Slow for debuff luring.

    When it comes to the piggy, there just isn't any call for such a tank.

    The Abysmal Turtle is nice, but it's questionable whether it's worth leveling in consideration of the Celestial Plumpfish.

    I fail to find any value in the Kowlin. It's speed is great, but is outdone by ranged pets. It's atk is decent, but it's survivability detracts from that.

    Icicle will get you by on the Walker. Investing other skills or upgrading any into it is worthless.

    Use the Walker for a tank. The frog is useless.

    Get a Petite Sawfly, it's the best free pet. Only replace it if you ever get a Nix.

    Don't bother with water pets. Tame ones around your level just to get your quests done, then at lvl 80 get a Celestial Plumpfish. The Plumpfish should be your water pet for the rest of the game, unless a Legendary water pet ever comes out or if a better one is introduced in a later expansion.

    Eldergoth Marksmen are better pullers. Get one of them. They're also not a rare pet like the Kowlin, which means you won't have to camp out at the location in hopes of taming one before the handful of other Venos around there beat you to it. It also won't cost anywhere near as much as a Kowlin. Marksmen are free, Kowlins are overpriced and overrated.

    IMO you have a decent lineup, but unfortunately i'll have to agree there's no real need to reskill pets unless you're actually comitted to taking them into endgame.

    Keep Icicle leveled (currently it can only go up to lvl 3 because of your own level). This will allow you one hit kills (keyboard) when questing/grinding and will add to your pet's overall dps.

    Froggling, piggy and kowlin are all good pets. I would choose between the frog and the kowlin however, as it's become increasingly difficult to keep all pets at your level with BH. Kowlin is the most likely to remain useful into higher levels as it can be used as an attack/debuffer.

    Edit; Yes, there's no use in leveling water pets.

    Edit2; The two previous posters are right when it comes to what's the absolute best pet you can use. They're wrong in dismissing all other pets as useless. According to them all good venos should have exactly the same pets which, sans nix, are all amongst the uggliest and most tedious to use btw.

    As for legendary pet skills those are just toys for the uber rich. They allow you to either make hyper-efficient pets (scorp+claw) or to get away with using whatever pets you fancy at an efficient (if not competitive) level.

    Glacial walker: I added bash and lved it to 4 myself. Good thing is that I don't have to worry about stealing aggro and if I do, I can use icicle.

    Frog: The glacial make for a better tanking pet for general purpose. I use a seamonster guardian myself, in part for the magical defense, but mostly for the look, damage and silence surrouding it(also leveled flesh ream to 4 for grinding, slow is fine at 1 for extra agro).

    flying piggy: cute and tanky I guess, but I was able to get by with a sawfly using both starting skill at lv1(what a surprise, I didn't touch it's skill).

    lv5 turtle: yup, the lv51 can last to 80 for the celestial plumpfish. Heck, mine, which is lv57, tanked 2-3 of those guys when I had a quest. b:shocked

    Kowlin: nice looking pet, got debuff, DD and speed. but I still like the trick I can do with an eldergoth: luring and range tanking(removed pierce and added boost and tough, both at lv1, not feeling like they get used often, boost only when spam healing on a boss, tough...mostly when I'm grinding and my pet wake something else up, but still nice if needed to lure something bad)

    bad panda: a mount, a costly one, but nothing to say on your choice

    9tailfox: good DD to my knowledge, also come with a decent lv of howl. I think it's also squishy, but heh, I learned to deal with my seamonster guardian's poor pdef(already stated it was my DD pet of choice).

    On an HA fox form veno alt I'm playing from time to time, I'm using a dark wanderer(DD, pdef, look, tough/roar/pierce perfect for this veno), cactopod(mini eldergoth) and a carapest terror for fun. On this girl, since I prefer to try to tank myself, upgrading skills is less important as they get turn off part of the time.
