Tangling Mire

Is tangling mire a good pvp genie skill for archer? it has a decent range of 20meters when an opponent gets close and it might make bms and barbs easier to kill while metal skills are on cooldown and arcanes will drop so much fasterb:laugh so what is higher level archer's opinions on this genie skill

The only time I think tangling mire would be useful on HAs is when you have a lot of -interval, purge occurs, quickshot procs and you cast tangling mire to auto fire them.
You're probably better off with extreme poison+metal skills on HAs.
Robes at your levels die without tangling mire.0 -

i like the mud in tw because a bit confusion the big animation for few sec and have area debuff effect so before barrage not bad too against a group (if u dont get stun/seal in first few sec)0 -
Tangling Mire is very usefull in PvE combined with BoA, because of the AOE effect that Extreme Poison doesnt have.
In PvP tho you should get either Extreme Poison or both, since Mire is useless on HA...
EDIT: With an 80 STR genie Mire lowers physical defense for 35+16=51%, while XPoison only increases all damage taken with 20% (more DEX only increases duration)If you've been bad, Lord I bet you have

I'd take the 20% more damage.
there is a pvp penalty on defense debuffs of 50% so that 51% would only be 25% debuff. that negates less than half of a cleric or BM buff. Even if the target were unbuffed 20% amp will do more damage.
Mire is only good for the aoe.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

But poison have 20meters, tangling have 15meter I believe.
Tangling is better if your genie is pure strength but the range of mire.. Make it reallly hard to use in pvp as an archer. I think tangling is more for melee n occult ice combo[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Poison has 25m range, Tangling is 20m. It's for barrage mostly. I use it on bosses for extra dmg, but the place it shines is with barrage, especially in rebirth. In pvp I can think of better uses for the energy rather than Tangling a single target. It's nice with barrage in pvp, but the problem is getting that close to targets and barraging. Frenzy is the answer to increasing barrage damage, but you need to protect yourself, it drops defense down to almost nothing. So...good pvp skill? Not really.0
