Skipping TT80,..

I have really good TT70 gear(all flawless citrines and +2 refine and above) and Cala Axes +4. Would it be ok if I just skipped all my TT80 gear and just wait for TT90 gear?

The reason I ask this is straight forward; TT80gear is very expensive and it seems to only give me 300 ele def and 350 phys def more.

What do you guys think?

Well if i remember right, you do need to have the TT80 gear to make the TT90 gear. Though i believe that is only if you go for gold, idk for sure, but i'm sure others will.

Though if you get better stats from the TT70 gear, then i would say you should keep it and just wait till you get to 90 and then make the TT80 gear, to make the TT90 gear. Since you will need to use the TT70 to get TT80 to get TT90.

Go with legendary. Cuisses of Sea Captain are stupidly cheap and very decent. Same with lv79 legendary chest plate. I would recommend going with tt80 bracers though because they're pretty awesome and TT mats are cheap right now. In short however, no you're fine until 90.

You don't need tt80 to make tt90 (except gold you do, but you should always go green for tt90 since it's vastly superior)

^, besides tt80 bracers are needed for gold tt90 bracers which is the only piece worth geting because of the -0.1 interval and the dex bonus and both help for Fists users but if you don't use fists/claws then just stick with green tt90.

also +2 refines on tt70 doesn't give much hp so you can sell the chest and legs (if you have em) and buy the molds which are cheaper lol

    This post is so wrong.

    TT70 is nice
TT80 is not necessary, that's right
Calamities are really great on a BM

calamaties are the best wep for pvp until 90 (OP and urself are from a pve server though)
unless u craft a level 80 wep with sacrficial strike

there is better stuff for pve though

    calamaties are overrated ijs

maybe back when leveling too time they worth the investment

but id just use hh70>hh 80>GXs

and honestly hh armors are not worth it till hh90 (even all the hh90 set aint that great)

    youll level so fast

and money/time spent gettinng could be better spent

calams are under a mill on sanc atm

their still the best axe for a bm pre lvl 90

    zerk is amazing

    +2xx hp is wonderfull

and they have almost the same damage as tt 80

    yes they are worth it

Just by what your saying, I instantly now that character is your highest level and you have ever actually had calamaties or TT70+ on any accounts.

Imo, as armor goes, none of the TT ones are worth it (need the bracers obv.) because 71-85 goes by in a couple of weeks if not less due to Gamma. Cala is not overrated at all either. I never touched my LionKings, untill I decomposed it, after getting Calas. You shouldn't be using axes on 1v1 PvE in the first place and for PvP or AoE PvE, there's nothing better.

Well it helps to have a gear that can take a beating in Gamma.

Also, not every BM does Gamma. I've only done it once or twice myself.

Surviving in Gamma is quite easy. I ruled the place with 5k HP and not so great gears. All you need is to make a few Tranq Orbs and know when to Alpha and when not to, and have a half decent Barb. Keeping the BM alive is not your priority anyways (short of getting 1k) since BM's there to keep others alive.

And there's no reason for BM not to do Gamma, unless you don't want to level fast. The yeah, get your TT armor and hang out at 70s and 80s for a few months...

Well for one I find charm and repair costs to be a weeny bit expensive, especially if it's a fail squad and end up not being able to fully complete a run. Maybe I'd rather just spend the cost to get myself nicer armor.

Also, my 70's lasted just barely 2 weeks with full BH's, CS', WQ's, and half full day of solo grinding and questing on weekends. My 80's lasted about a month short of few days (that's the time I did a couple of Gamma's). By then I would still see the same ol faces looking for Gamma squad since my 70's.

Granted I think TT70 was rather short lived, but you could always sell them and make most of money back since you don't need them for TT90.

The coins you get from Gamma more than covers the repair cost. I'm usually end up with 250k-300k after repair. Yes, charm cost money, but so does wine for BH and shards for CS. If you are lucky, you'll get a shard from Gamma that more than covers the cost of charm. Fail squad is just luck of the draw and certainly can happen with BH also. I added the ones I Gamma with who were good and just make squad out of FL. If you want nicer armor instead of higher level, that's certainly your choice.

Most likely that they are feeding exp to genie and staying at 85 to farm for spirit to level their skills. Back before anni packs, charms were cheap and shards were expensive, Gamma was also a great source of money. An imac sold for 3 mil and even the 2 chests of coins you got could sell for around 100k ea. So they could've bee farming for coins too. I personally stayed at 85 for about 3 months farming Gamma and made lots of coins just off selling the genies I made from the extra exp.
