I do not understand their vampires fetish, and how twilight is considered a great romance novel.

Their are no actual vampires in twilight. They are just a bunch of blood sucking fairies!

    (I agree, twilight is terrible and cliche and poorly written / made. But it's easy to digest and vampire love is hot.)

    I remember when a cracked version of the first twilight movie was up on Youtube for a day or two. Thought I'd check it out, but I only made it in about 40 minutes before I couldn't take the laughably poor acting any more.

    I think of twilight the same way i think of a wii fit. Its probably killing the book market, and since meyer made so much money out of it other people are going to copy her. Twilight fan girls are so fail they are win.
    Twilight Moms are even worse. Like seriously, 45 year olds going for a fictional vampire guy.
    Fans of Twilight are just sad they can't get a man IRL.

    Also, people die when they are killed.

    Watched Twilight with my (now ex) girlfriend when it came out. I walked out after the first 10 minutes and she broke up with me the next day. I've hated vampires ever since.b:sweat

    Tried watching True Blood because I hear a lot of good things about it but it just seems like Twilight for guys to me.b:embarrass

    True Blood as Twilight for guys... haha, that's a good way to put it, even though I'm female and like that show.
    I don't really get the vampire obsession either. Don't get me wrong, I watch True Blood and VD and have read both series... but my taste isn't really exclusive to vampires. I like all supernatural-y stuff. Things like that are just more appealing to me than, I dunno, a Nicholas Sparks book.

    Personally I hate the new aged vampire craz because when I was younger I was into the hard core stuff. No stupid love romance giggly **** I went for the stuff that would make my mother faint. I like the mythology (or what ever you call it) stuff about vampires and even came to learn about the one that was actually claimed to be the true first vampire. Of corse I dont remember that stuff now because I was 9 at the time and im 17 now.

    Naruto pulls dei ex machina out of the **** every few chapters.

    Bleach is boring and repetitive but tries (and fails) to be original.

    I have no idea what the hell Shugo Chara is. I'm pretty sure I don't want to know.

    Basically, anime/manga these days are all so damn formulaic and predictable. Sure, there are certain things which can't be avoided ('weak protagonist fights stronger enemies as the series continues and finally defeats the OP final boss guy in an epic showdown' kinda stuff) but when every 'twist' doesn't make sense, was used only to create conflict, or was so predictable that it wasn't really a twist (usually all 3) and every arc is reduced to a 'this is my new power up' miniseries then I fail to see how anyone can watch, let alone like, the show.

    I admit, I continue to read Bleach and Naruto because I hate to leave something unfinished and I started reading them back in 8th grade when they were either better or I was just too stupid to realize how much they sucked.

    I remember that! b:victory I played Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver (on the PS) and I was so impressed by the interactivity/realistic ways to kill your enemies....such as impaling them with something sharp, setting fire to a stake....and then them, throwing them into the water, sunlight or onto something sharp, etc. b:sin
