Hyper EXP Exhaustion period calculating incorrectly

Ah hopefully im the only one who has had this happen, or maybe i have misunderstood, although i dont think so.
I used Hyper Stones for the third time yesterday, this set of 5 for 12 x exp for one hour was started 2 hours before the previous exhaustion time was ended. ( I really dont think this is a factor but im adding what info i can )
Hyper Exp went smoothly, gained a good amount of exp.
Buffer Time also appeared to go smoothly although i didnt really pay too much attention as i was busy in faction.
The problem came when we went to Brimstone, myself and my partner who is also level 89.
Now i understand that in exhaustion i will lose 10% of the normal exp, and having another level 89 char in squad i would say is pretty good pointer of what the normal exp would be
The problem came when he told me how much exp he gained for the previous kill, i checked mine and it was just over half of what he had gained.
Now i cant remember all the different numbers correctly, but one example i do remember was that i only gained 640 exp when he gained 1164. And the amounts were all the same kind of difference as we continued.
We ran a couple of checks ourselves, we tried a mob outside of an instance, that was the same scenario. We left squad, and both killed the same normal no extra stat mobs, same scenario.
Im very wary now of buying any more stones , and i was really wanting to work extra over the next couple of days so that myself and my partner could reach level 90 at the same time without him waiting around too much.
Has anyone else experienced this problem??

the way i understand it is when in exhaustion cooldown you only get 10% of the exp not loose 10%.0
-
Either way it doesnt equate to what i was getting . so something isnt right.
Im not in game atm but im pretty sure on the explanations found when you click the ? on the Hyper Experience box it states -10%
Will check again when i go back in0 -
Normal exp = x
2x event exp = x + x or 2x
hyper exp = 12x
hyper during 2x event = 12x + x or 13x
hyper during 2x with exhaustion on = 12x + 1x/10 or 12.1x
Exhaustion = x/10 or .1x
Exhaustion during 2x exp event = x + x/10 or 1.1x (you in this case)
As you can see, your friend was getting 2x and you were getting 1.1x, working as intended, be happy it doesn't work so that you were getting .2x which would make more sense imo.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Now im confused, there seems to be two different versions of how the exhaustion time is calculated.
I initially got my information ingame, from the help function on the hyper exp window
As you can see this would explain why i was expecting to only lose 10% from normal exp.
On further investigations on PWI site i also found this
http://pwi.perfectworld.com/news/newsubpage/hyper-exp-9322
which runs along the lines of the replies i have had
Which is correct??0 -
Most likely the announcement. What's in-game could just be a poor translation.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Take a look through descriptions on sage/demon skill books. PWI is notorious for messing up on prepositions. "By" instead of "to" in this case.0

Thank you for your answers, guess its a case of i just been caught out by expecting things to be right
Ah well its disappointing but at least i know for future0 -
you guys be slow....
go kill something then mouse hover over your exp bar...
it will show that you has gotten way more then what it displays.

Hawk:Do this. closing thread
frankieraye: I'll see if we can replace the woman with a stick figure and the tiger fangs with marshmallows.//Issues like these need to get escalated quickly to minimize the damage.
Kantorek: Yeah.. you should try it. It's awesome.
Sihndra: Nope- not currently possible under any circumstances. Sorry.
LokisDottir: I mean...not haunting the forums, nope nope..
Konariraiden: You don't know what you are up against. You will lose.

Does 12x exp work on quests? Ive got 2 bhs in my quest log and enough coin to buy a couple of hyper exp stones......[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Thank you Forsakenx for the picture. b:thanks0 -
Since ESOs and the 2x don't affect quests, I don't think hyperstones will.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

No, it only works for mob kills, not quests.

Talyara is talking about exhaustion, not the display glitch.I've moved to LC, perhaps permanently. Goodbye Sanctuary, I know that nobody there knows me.0 -
Ah, I see. Thanks for clearing that up.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
