Someone explain this please?

Yesterday night I was playing on my mage, and I got disconnected after an hour of gameplay as I was killing a mob.

Ok so i exit the game and try to restart the client and get the message "cannot connect to the update server" or w/e. I check my task manager and the element client isnt listed. "wth i say to myself"

So I try to open firefox/IE to look at pwi forums and its unable to connect.



Ok so here's the funny part.. I could access every single webpage other than pwi, including google, my guild homepage, netflix etc etc...

And it wasnt maint. or a server shutdown because when I was finally able to log back in I asked if anyone dced and about 2-3 people said yes. While some others said no.

So.. explain please? It wasnt a connection issue since i could access other pages, and it wasnt a browser issue since i tested both IE and Firefox with the same results

    did you check the ping/status of the other servers on the log in screen?
    and did it show that only the east coast servers be available?

    but me ventrilo, teamspeak 3, MSN, and firefox stayed on and connected while everyone else was still in there.

    <---me managed to "fix" it by resetting me entire human internet network connection.

    but it happened like 3 times.

    Possibly a stateside PWI server that you were connected to went down? I don't mean a server for the game I mean the server you are connecting to. I don't know...just a thought.

    nah the servers were up.
    me was on ventrilo with the rest of me FC squad and there were still in.
    and me internet be fine, was connected to teamspeak, MSN, ventrilo, firefox, 2 other games, and the hamster network.

    I had this happen to me at least 3 times a week about a year ago.

    gms only told me to check my internet connection, but everything else worked fine, except pwi and the pwi webpage.

    it just stopped after a while. so.. good luck? >.>
