Crash on launching game

I can log in and choose my character; however, upon clicking on my character and waiting till the load bar finishes, the game crashes on me.

It jumps back to desktop with the [submit error] block.

I tried this several times, rebooted system and no luck at all.
HW is fine since it used to work before the patch update this week.

Suggestions, or is there some sort of dumpfile I can copy and send to GMs to file ticket?

Yes, I'll probably be forced to quit game if i can't even launch the application. LOL

    Try updating your audio drivers.

    Same here. but how do i update my audio driver? im using windows 7 and theres not that much on the internet yet.
    *scratch that, I figured out how to update the audio driver, but it says i already have the newest version. Game is still crashing.

    Tried reinstalling the game 2times still the same problem. Does anyone know a solution already?b:cry

    If it's the exact same problem, that you get a Report Bugs error when you try to log into the game, try updating your audio drivers.

    Hello
    I got the same problem that I keep getting Report Bug.The problem is that I cant even install my sound drivers so what should I do? It looks like I have to quit the game cause I can do nothing more.Will they fix it with the next patch,so I can logg even without sound drivers?

    It does not work for a reason I really tried everything.. and I just wanna know if they will fix it normal way until next week so I can play even without sound drivers?Cause else I think I will not be able to play pw more and pw did work very well before the last patch,it would just be sad cause I really enjoy playing pw..

    I found out that many ppl have major issues with realtek audio devices ; same as i do.

    After reading a lot of threads i found that realtek devices have issues with the Microsoft service pack 3 (SP3). FOR WINDOWS XP

    Here u can find the hotfix for the realtek device to work:

    I suggest that you need to uninstall SP3 ; then install the hotfix and reinstall the SP3.

    You should now be able to enjoy PWI again.
