Depends if you bother learning how to play as that class you will be Pew Pew if you dont bother learning anything about the class it will be QQ

Totally depends on the work you're willing to put into it and your tolerance for pain.

You'll either love it right out of the gate, continue to love it and be able to laugh off the tougher times, or you'll likely get fed up at around 2x when you start dealing with lots of archer mobs and ragequit. b:laugh

Totally worth the work you put into it though.

you might have more QQ, but im guessing only for the reason that you started off with barb class first. Ton of hp and def, then switching over to the squishyest class........ if you are very attentive to your surroundings then you wont have a problem. When i played my barb alt i could still be alive after looking away for 10-15sec. If i did that on cleric before any good gear 'age' id probably die ;/

Totally agree. Keep leveling till you pass the QQ levels and get into the pew pew levels. It is quite worth the effort you put on it.

I would say that there is a lot of QQ since if there isnt another cleric and someone does something stupid to cause a squad wipe, you will be the one going back to town and flying all the way back to rez everyone while they barely lose any exp and you lose a lot more b:cry

Also because people always use you for reses and buffs and it seems to always be the clerics fault if anyone dies even if that person was stupid and intentionally stole aggro or pulled a bunch of mobs to everyone

I think that the Pew Pew part would be that im really lazy and most of the time all i have to do is press a button and heal people or just watch the screen while I BB. hehehehb:laugh

2 personal feelings on this...

1.) There will still be QQ, as if both drop then it becomes a *****ing contest about who's going to port and come back more often than not. =_=;;;

2.) This fact SHOULD have been readily apparent coming right out of the gate. Or at least the first time one dies and has to trudge all the way back. If losing EXP has been an issue, one should either buy Guardians or Re-roll. Yes, dying sucks...but it's not the end of the world. Especially when there are 110249812098102498 more ways to make such gross levels of EXP daily these days... >.>

TBH, I find the experience loss a counter balance to the sheer overwhelming versatility our skill set presents (we can solo far more than many other classes, save for Veno, and with maxed skills and good stats we can fill in many gaps), and the ease of getting into parties for important things.

yea,, ppl exaggerete exp loss a bit

even at 94lvl stupid CS can cover my 2-3 deaths with full exp loss
and there are bhs and wq too..

but when u do some instance just for exp, then it s hard to be so cool about death b:chuckle

i remember some fc run at 89 when i died like 5 times coz f.e. while zhen DDs were killing 1 flying mob instead of catching incoming phy mobs wave (wth o0)
or somebody wasnt able to learn to not hit clones on clone boss b:surrender

in those cases u wonder why u ever bothered doing that fc if u get exp from it like from daily =3

That very reason is probably why I don't do much FC and such in the first place. Even though I do get bored from time to time and would like to. XD;;;

Though to be honest, I get more aggravated by the wasted pots, charm, and whatnot than the EXP loss when I die.

Its not the exp loss that bothers me so much, but im really lazy and hate flying all the way back XD I also have no sense of direction so it takes me forever to find my way back around those instances and stuff

Get your hands on some Resurrection Scrolls. Not only are they a wonderful time saver, but they're a handy tool for helping judge the quality of you or your squad.

Way I see it...if I'm constantly waiting for them to cool-down, somethings definitely wrong. XD

And before people mention cost...linger around starter cities from time to time. Plenty of newbie shops that sell them super cheap if you know where to look. Better yet...harass friends and faction mates to cough up the free ones they get from their alts (or be nice about it...I guess...). Many are more than happy to fork them over. Especially since they'll likely get a return on their investment at least once... =P

Yeah I'm always trying to by rez scrolls. I wish i had an unlimited supply of them ._.

When you reach lvl 101 your exp loss from a death without res/GS will be like 800k exp. .3% of 267,815,000 b:shocked

CS= less than 400k exp and wq is 300k exp. Each is like .1% exp gain, so won't cover more than one death.
