Psychics in Tide Form?

Err. Isn't it kind of like expecting a wizard to beat up a mob with no magic or weapon, only his fists? No dexterity, not much strength, no vitality? I'm confused.

Please tell me psychics are able to learn skills specifically for tide form. If not, that's the biggest disappointment since... George Bush.

Btw;
What's with the Tideborn's meditating? It totally one-ups every single other class. It's all, "*****, I'm a pretty mermaid swimming vertically in an oval orb of fish and bubbliness" vs. crouching in a pink ball. >:

From what I know, I would think the tide form is but a means to escape and move fast in water..

Actually, one of the mods brought this up. Hopefully, it's just a glitch and it'll be fixed soon.

I like it as well, only thing is why can't we customize our characters to look that? I mean, you go from some run-of-the-mill looking thing to this beautiful mermaid.

They should of upped the appearances of the normal forms for all classes in my opinion.

Same reason as there is only 1 true form or fox form. It's a buf that chances your aperence, you can't expect them to have a different buf for every type of face

Mine is lvl 1 and since I noticed its only for defense (IN WATER.....yah cuz thats the place we lvl at 90% of the time -_-) and speed IN WATER.

In other words, if they dont add smth better in the future, it's not worth past lvl 1 :)

Short answer: I'm not leveling it.

Long answer: Hopefully it's a glitch and will get fixed eventually. I was hoping that it would be a useful skill for fishing.

    QFT

It's the same so far for assassins. Does anyone know the stats on speed in mer form vs regular? Even then I don't know if it's worth leveling because once I get my wings on my 'sin I'll be flying everywhere and not swimming anyway.

As for meditating, I'm a bit disappointed all Tideborns look the same, but mainly I just wish people would stop meditating right by NPCs.

at the moment i dont see any advantage to mer-form. you don't swim any faster and you cant attack. so why use it. Maybe at higher lvls.

maybe its just glitched if it is then it probably wont get fixed.

Mages usually lvl on water mobs because of the water shield they have.

Increasing tide form on PVP server will let you get away easier because you are on the SAME Walking speed as a mage at 4.8 .

Increasing the swim speed will allow tideborns to get away from a potential PK, while boosting your def and survive longer should you stay under water as mages will attempt to blink to chase you down.

no wonder so many people be so easy to kill.
    b:sweat

    Kotasha here be....teh benefits....

    first of all...it be INSTANT

    Tide Form:
    Level 1:
Increases your Defense Level by 5.5
and your Swim speed by 26%.

    Level 10:
Increases your Defense Level by 10.0
and your Swim speed by 80%.

    .....barbarian's swim mastery gives:
    Increases swimming speed by 50%.

that means tideborns have a 80% extra speed advantage to all classes except barbs and 30% to barbs....in other words....no one can catch them underwater provided you don't start off stun locked (or anything with similar effects)...(and even then if you survive then you can escape)
    b:chuckle

......teh defensive benefits should be pretty obvious but....it also has offensive benefits.....
which me won't list as me figure easy kills should stay easy to kill for me.
    b:chuckle

So? Just swimming? That's like if all barbs could do was run and not attack.

Yeah, I would hope so too. Still, 80% speed means you could get to places fairly quickly if your destinations are connected by water or near waterways.
