Patch Notes Version 273
Released February 03, 2010
Removed the requirement of Chienkun stones for Nirvana gear reforge. Now only the requisite amount of Uncanny/Rapture Crystals is needed.

Chienkun stones were originally there to allow number of sockets/gems on original piece to be kept. The above statement in the patch notes does not make it clear as to whether

A) Sockets/Gems from the original piece will now be kept
or
B) Socket/Gems from original piece will NOT be kept

For anyone forging Nirvana gear this is significant and thertefore would be nice if clarification copuld be provided.


Oh and if its option A) then why are the poor souls who were first to farm Nirvana gear lose out ?

    THIS IS A SHOT IN THE DARK, but:

    chienkung stones/refine transfer have repeatedly been stated that they wont be released. im pretty sure it will retain its refines/sockets, etc; i believe the fact it needed them was just an error.

    Add to that... do refines transfer for free now, or do you lose refines during the reforge.

    You can transfer Refine Level and Socket/Gems when you re-forge Nirvana gear without the use of Chienkun stones (which was previously impossible since we have never released them.)

    You will still need the requisite Uncanny / Rapture stones.

    Awesome for people about to reforge although i suspect people that have already farmed and made Nirvana gear will be slightly angry in view of the socket stone reqirement difference between the origanal gear and the Nirvana gear

    So the amount of rapture/uncanny crystals make up for the loss of Chienkun stones? Or are they the same?

    For example if I had a 1socket lunar bow unrefined, I'd need 100 raptures to get it to become regenesis nirvana bow. If I had a 2socket lunar bow unrefined, would it still cost 100 rapture crystals? What if it was a 2socket +5 bow?

    I'm not sure if I should socket the bow first to recast if there is a higher crystal cost.

    hi gm, theres no need for chinkuen stones, but right now, i've tried and a popup came out asking me if i wanted to use these chinkuen stones to transfer the refine level and the amount of sockets. i only had the chance to typed N to the box and i couldn't type Y. so, i still need to use chinkuen stones? because i do not wish to waste my +8 and all the shards inside my hh99 light legging.

    I guess this was better than releasing an item which allows everyone to +12 for about 1/4 of the price of Dragon Orbs :3

    Can anyone who has reforged their gear into Nirvana gear confirm that it keeps the refine, sockets, and stones? On my server people have said it doesn't, but they might have been trolling.

    What needs to be clarified is this -->

    100 Stones = 1st reforge/recast for G13 ---> All refine, socket, etc stay?

    150 Stones = 2nd forging/recast for G15 ---> All refine, socket, etc stay?

    Basically --> Are people going to be keeping their refine, socket, gems for the ENTIRE PROCESS?

    ^ What ppl want to know....

    Yeah this would be something I would like cleared up as well Kantorek. I'm busting my **** for my 99 set and already have my wrists and my axes. I wanna know if what I've put into them already will transfer.
