    meh, too much work.. just get a 2nd cleric and you dont have to fiddle with all these little things. Makes everything simple. Why take risks when you don't have to?

    Since I have 3500 hp and I have yet to die on AE, I am not sure the way I have done it is any riskier. Although having a second cleric would make it even safer I guess.

    @Ussichu - Apoc pots are your friend.. I love them :)
    Too often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you, it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, BUT, it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and slap that mother#$@%#^! upside the head.

    i dont like on relying on others to live, maybe thats my problem lol, id rather to be out of bubble to shell/guardian light/(spark resist worked once, failed twice xD) when i get random aggro'd.

    I dont see why people overcomplicate belial, we did it with a horrible party...

    Lv100 Fist BM - tank
    Lv99 Wizard - DD
    Lv98 Veno - DD/amp/purge
    Lv94 Veno - DD/amp/purge
    Lv87 Arcane Cleric - ironheart/res
    Lv90 LA Cleric - ironheart/res

    Hardly anyone died except for the 94 veno, since she was hieroless. LA cleric healing the tank, Arcane cleric healing the LA cleric. Only time I ever got hit was the random earth attack which does like no damage to me. It went fast and was really easy.
    Wondering how much longer these **** packs are going to be around.

    we start with an archer and sharptooth
    after minions appears
    archer or veno lure they one at time
    first the ranged one , the magic one and the phy one
    lure they on the lava shore, barb can tank stand one step out the lava
    and all the party attack, when belial come near stop attack, and attack again when belial go far

    after minion are die lure belial with the same system (remember sharptooth again )
    barb have to take the aggro when belial is near the lava shore
    the aoe of the belial is only frontal,
    so barb can turn belial in direction of lava pool center and belial shoulder look the wall where cleric(s) are.
    the cleric(s) stay on the wall so belial can hit they only via aoe
    if clerics is 2 one stay on the left and one on the right of belial
    so belial cant do "two bird with one stone" when he aoe
    bm go near the tank, archer near a cleric or in middle of them
    veno position is left or right belial on lavashore away from aoe range

    a this point belial can hit your cleric only via aoe and the channeling aoe can be cancelled by alacrity of the beast, shriek from pet, lighting chaser, shadowless kick.
    use them all expecially when belial try to aoe the cleric
    less aoe he do most easy will be
    the trick is let the boss move less possible
    is really hard for a barb or a pet (like the "fast" magmite) stop the aoe
    if they need run follow belial for all the stadium
    and is more difficult for barb gain aggro
    for mana drain suggest use apo pot and normal/event pots and purify

    Ideal squad: Barb BM Cleric Cleric Veno Veno (one being sage with sage soul degeneration to lure mobs out)


    After reading this thread I'm completely shocked at how un PvE-ish the PvE servers are.


    Lost City does a better job (minus the blurb with Kristoph).



    Firstly, no need to Blue Bubble on Astral. Your there to kill astral, so you need not get caught up with all the monsters he spawns. Its just a waste of time, and coins for repairs and charms, orbs, pots, etc.



    Use a veno with a herc, dont use reflect. Go up onto the chains, and simply let the veno tank. The more melee classes you have on the platform the worse it is.



    Next, with Belial, I'm shocked to hear that you think a Veno is a better choice in leiu of an Archer.

    1) Archers Sharpened Tooth can spawn the monsters saving you time, effort, charms, pots, and deaths tangling with Belial until you shave off 10% of his HP for his minion spawn.

    2) Archers Sharpened Tooth can save you 1/5th of the time, effors, charms, pots, and deaths tangling with belial when you actually kill him.


    At any rate you see an archer makes things cheaper - which I thought you PvE'ers would be aware of. Again it comes down to the question why would you waste time doing uneccessary things.




    As for belial:


    - Veno's Purge
    - Archers can debuff too using the CV 95 (Lunar Glade) bow.
    - BM's and Barbs can cancel the Random Aggro and AOE if their skills arent on cooldown.
    - 2 Clerics make the entire run cheaper.



    Any number of things can happen during belial. Tank DC's, or members lag. Having only 1 cleric is a disaster should anything go horribly wrong.

    Lag can lead to uncancelled random aggro attacks by Belial.




    At any rate a good approach was given by Mivi:


    1) Archer sharp and run into portal to spawn monsters
    2) Kill monsters
    3) Archer Sharp and you guys begin killing belial

    - Ensure multiple clerics are not beside each other (otherwise belial will do a combo party kill)
    - When one cleric dies revive the fallen cleric before healing the tank (Random Aggro can happen any time - it can happen back to back, and with bad luck to both clerics)
    - Veno's Purge, and archers debuff (with a Lungar Glade Bow) - belial dies much faster when he doesn't have defense buffs, and hits less harder when he doesn't have rediculous attack buffs
    - Barbs and BM's cancel whenever possible. The moment belial begins moving cancel.







    Additionally to save yourself some hastle with the AOE you could have an archer tank Belial. You still have to deal with Random Aggro though. Good archer tanks are the heavy CS kind.
















    Again dont get caught up on what is possible.... Remember the objective is to get your stuff while spending the least amount of coins, money, and time.

    Too many people demand high HP for this boss when it isn't necessary. I've done with below 4khp just fine as well.

    Veno's soul degeneration reduces max HP by 20% you need a 99 sage archer to compete with that (For archer newbs, majority go demon). Without that you get a 16% is is less than 1/5 (nitpicking) and with a 2nd veno its much more DD (? boss) and better chance of random aggro on a pet meaning less ressing/worrying about AE hitting you.

    2ndly to have the purge bow you need a 95 archer, i dunno about you but i stopped TT2-3 at 92 and am looking to TT3-2 and 3-3 for money.

    When i said ideal squad, i did not mean it is the ONLY squad that works. Geez otherwise how would i have done AE (let alone a wizzie friend of mine hahaha)

    Well i think the best squad for HH/TT2-3 would be involving Archer/Wizard lvl 95+ as the tank, at least 2 lvl 90+ clerics, barb for the barb buffs and also ranged DD, prob best idea not to bring a bm because they r basically useless. But u should get a high lvled wiz/archer to tank

    My faction tried doing Belial, and we failed. I was tank (level 95 at the time), and we had 1 cleric (level 91 or 92 at the time). She was at the highest point on the wall, and I was low enough to attack. Everybody else stayed out of the way and did no damage. We had a Barbarian buff, but no Blademaster. We cleared the spawns first.

    Against Ancient Evil, we tried both BB as well as IH/healing skills. In the case of BB, I was close enough to the cleric that she still got hit with the AoE. She eventually died.

    In the case of IH/healing skills, the cleric was out of the general AoE, but the random aggro still occurred and she got 1-shotted. I'm not sure if it it's b/c she has a low HP, but with the Barb buff, we thought she would be fine. But she's at the highest point on the wall, and still got hit.

    After about 6 attempts, we gave up. The crux was not that I died tanking, but b/c the cleric died from the attacks. Though, I should mention there were several close calls with me almost dying, even with 6k+ HP unbuffed.

    Any advice? I'd like to be able to do this with 1 cleric + 1 archer. Does the cleric need to use genie skills like Absolute Domain and apothecary pots for invincibility? Is it supposed to be BB healing or normal skill healing? Or do we just need a Blademaster? I can't get within 10 meters to use genie Earthquake, b/c if I do, the cleric gets too close and gets hit with the AoE.

    hmm this is difficult to tackle since well.. its only you and the cleric meaning there the random aggro just gets the cleric. you just need a touch cleric, use dew of gods/stars, WoP, guardian's light, absolute domain, double spark, and plume shell. The cleric needs to be able to survive with plume shell alone and then using any of the other methods while its in cooldown. cause the cleric can't survive otherwise.



    EDIT: USE DEFENSE CHARMS! (Requires knowing someone with level 8 apothecary thought^_^)

    Well in my experiences of killing belial, we didn't ever fail when the archer/wiz tanked, the cleric died a few times but we had 2 clerics in case 1 died the other would quickly res while the tank put on a decrease damage skill/pot. But depends on the tanker, always ask them if they r able to tank it or not, it isn't fun to have a tank which doesn't even know if they will be able to take the damage or not. But i dont see how getting a wiz/archer to tank is the worst method b:surrender

    Just do some runs like our Squad. All what u need is experience and trust me Belial isnt that bad ^^ Check this and see how we do it like 100 times for 2x GX ( dropped 4 times gold)

    i see the video, is the same i do, but put the range ppls into 10-18 metres range to avoid belial change position and dont waste lighting chaser unless belial aggro a robe/low hp class :P

    well this video is from our first few runs. After the first 50 runs we had Genies with enough Energy to use Lightning chaser 3 times. All the 3 Melle around Belial had those genies :)
    Well our last run was a few month ago and i heard that lightning Chaser istn working now ? We start new chars on the new server and we close to lv 90 and well we need Belial here too. So i think we cant do it this way maybe we should try it with an Archer who tank it on Distance :P Could be a funny time again to farm 2 GX b:shocked

    after genie nerfing lighting chaser work better with dex genied base, more dex more % to stop channeling T__T,but the principe is the same. a far i know one skilled barb + un bm with shadowless kick can stop well all aoe and magic from belial of an entire fight
