Ancestral Rage: a Demon Barbs view

Hey fellow barbs! b:victory

I was trying to decide for a few days now, if the lvl100 skills worth their money. I was reading the threads about em, and really got a bit disapointed... that's unti i said: **** IT! I am gonna try em for myself! b:victory

Got Ancestral rage (was QQing while i was paying all that money for 1 skill) crossed my fingers and begun to test n test n test it some more.

Only 2 words can describe this skill: FCKN AWESOME!
I mean...the posibilities are kinda endless! This skill solved my main problem, no more runnerssss! And a crit or even better zerk+crit on this skill really REALLY hurts arcanes and LA (since demon barbs do full damage in tiger form, 200% base damage pwns b:chuckle).

Now a bit further down in the uses of the skill.
My main problem was the runners, i so rage when i demon spark and i got to chase around runners...until my spark is completely off :(
hehehehehh thats no problem any more! Tiger form > Untistun powder > Demon spark > Ancestral rage >INSERT FAVORITE HERE

You got enough time to run up to them and Armageddon, return to human form (already sparked) and pwn em or do whatever suits your play style.
I personally need only 2-3 seconds on human form with claws to drop almost any Arcane/Light armor. And even if they can still use skills, this is all to your advantage! He will waste an irongurad, He'll use absolute domain or anything strong defensive he's got, to get through this alive^^ and that is IF he got any of them.
Ancestral can even be used for defence if you get ganged and want to keep ppl away.

Bottom line for me is this: Its a skill that opens new ways to PvP, it has its downsides (cooldown time, cost 1 spark) BUT consider a barb that could constantly freeze others for 8 seconds while hitting them for 200%...

b:avoid Woot woot! its time to work towards Clean Sweep! Hope this thread gave ya ppl another point of view on Ancestral! Have fun on your barbs!

    Protip for hell barbs,

    Occultice>hell sunder+tangling mire together>ancestral rage.

    ANY light/Arcane below +7 refinement= Dead.

    Disclaimer:You must have HIGH refinement on YOUR weapon. If u a LAGGY ****, then slight chance your ancestral won't cast in time, for the 5 seconds of CONFIRMED crit after sunder.
    If you doing it on an archer/assasin/whatever high evasionclass..MAKE SURE u Bloodbath up!!

    Works like WOAH for me tho:)
    Even drop a few HEAVIES too if zerk comes out at the right time:)

    Yes, Ancestral Rage requires tiger form to cast it
    But...thats a GOOD thing! :)

    Take a look at what Devlinne posted :) And thats only 1 good combo, there are more! Its too early for me to post any combos yet, got to testttt and testtttt alot!

    I highly recomend the skill though xD Specially for Demon barbs :)

    m8 i farmed a few Chrono pages from WBs, but i bought the rest 12 with tokens of best luck + 1mil for inks +3 mil to actually learn the skill b:surrender

    14 pages away so maybe 1-2 weeks for me. glad to hear some1 is actually likes the skill. for me the 8secs freeze does it the 200% is just a HUGE bonus. 5min cooldown pretty much sucks though. can only use it once on a trip down the lane w/cat.

    Can't wait to try this one out. Of course it has its obvious pvp uses, but will be nice to disable a big DDer while cata pulling.

    As a barb my experience is quite limited as this the the highest level I got.
    But from my DD's (LA) point of view I can tell you for sure that Ancestral Rage is a terrifying thought. If it's AoE was less, it would hurt the skill efficiency, but 18m range is just overkill.

    So no, I haven't used this skill, but yes I have been targeted with it and it is very effective for a barb from the PvP view and TW as well.
