PvP Tricks with Stealth

Ok as many people have realized about us by now is that Assassins can still be hit by AoEs while in stealth. I've known some to utilize this information to knock us out of stealth and deal us a swift death. I have also been informed that skill channeling animations are visible in stealth mode (i.e.- Deaden Nerves can be seen by the opposing player). When I have fought players that know our AoE weakness, they would bring a mob close to them and cast an AoE on the mob and hope that I am in range. I, knowing he would see it, cast Wolf Emblem while running towards him to give him the impression I was running into range of Tempest. After he had cast Tempest, I used Maze Steps and needless to say he was dead in a few hits. So the point of this story is to tell all of my fellow Assassins that we may be visible for a short time during casting our longer channel skills, we can be hit by AoEs, and to not dawdle around in stealth mode if you are near mobs and the opponent has an idea where you might be (like if you had just buffed yourself). I hope I have saved a lot of my fellow fishy bretheren. b:victory

    news to me...u really did confirm that our skills(animation) are visible cause that sure isn't right and that way the whole thing with stealth is almost useless. i'd like some more opinions on this matter...anyone have made this experience aswell?

    I have tested sparking while stealth and that works, yet to test casting of other skills. If they go as far as remove you from "T" and hide your genie, allowing you to be seen while using skills would be a big fail.

    You are right, most people know that aoe will knock us out of stealth, and I have seen several try similar tricks as you described. However Ive been on vent with people at the same time as using buffs while in stealth and none of them could see me. As far as using stealth as a tactic, usually I will stay in stealth in the air above the other pkers. When I have picked out who I am going after, I will buff then drop right on top of them and start whatever attacks will work best. If I am successful, I fly strait back up and force stealth again so that I can loose anyone that may be after me. Being in the air in this way definitely helps to avoid any aoe that may otherwise hit you. That's just my two cents, so take it as you will b:victory

    At later levels, basically all fights wind up in the air.

    So trying to AOE us out of stealth at later levels in the air is really going to fail.

    I personally am not dumb enough to PK someone when there are mobs around.

    We are Assassins, we are supposed to be playing with our brains, we just have to wait a while and find the right time to attack, if the other guy don't even know you are there he isn't deliberately going to hang around enemies, catch him when he leaves the enemies.

    if AoEs be fixed to be able to cast on actual areas without requiring targets...

    Hmm well I've been worried about the channeling for some time, will have to take a look into that. As far as aoe's knocking you from stealth goes I don't think I've ever been pulled out of stealth by it.

    For non combat stealth you just have to leave combat to engage, once in you can move freely so long as you don't atk back. Dot's on the other hand will force you to stay in stealth ie: poison dot will make it impossible for you to leave stealth without attacking until duration has subsided (or by using forced stealth).

    Typical pve server bs. Try standing next to a red name, fully buff yourself and double/triple spark. You honestly think he'd sit there if he could see you?
    Wondering how much longer these **** packs are going to be around.

    in stealth, I have noticed that I become solid for a split second. I was wondering if others could see that too of if it was just the caster
    1st sage assassin in sanctuary. That's right, I jumped in with my eyes half closed. b:cute

    I know that when the exploding mobs blow up you go out of stealth so by that thinking any AoE will pull you out of stealth . As for ppl being able to see skills I don't believe that they can unless they are higher lvl than you stealth lvl.

    we can't see them when they stealth or do any action in stealth.....
