2x Exp, Sp, Drop Rate Event Questions

Couldn't find any other post on this..either im blind or the search button sucks here...

Anyways, when will it start, since pwi has reach more than 52k fans now? And as a 96 wizard, what is the best way to make money when the event does start, if it is hh, pls state which run (3-1, 2-2 ect) b:victory Thx

Btw: Last time this happened, i was grinding on spiders and was getting around 500k per hour (including cost of pots and repairs and such)., HH better?

    Just to clarify, does this double drop event simply double the amount of drops?
    Like for example, the TT bosses drop three items usually.

    Does this increase the drop to six items?

    Or is it another mechanism?

    If it does just simply double drops from 3 to 6... then I expect some massive inflation on subs soon >.<

    HH won't be better simply because a ton of people will be doing it now. The prices for mats will go down. It might average to more than 500k an hour for certain TTs, but I doubt it. You'd be better off grinding imo.

    All i knew is that suddenly 5million coin mats turned into 500k mats.. think it just increases drop RATE, because max a mob can drop is 4 items, after killing 1000+ spiders last event, i didnt get any more then 4 drops a mob

    lol yea, i was aoe grinding on these (solo) works pretty well with the correct genie, and i just kill them 1vs1 when i need chi to aoe again

    cleric BB and a BM lure
    worked out pretty well.

    also sure why not run TT runs for the mats....might as well use some yourself and sell the rest later when prices go a bit up.

    and anyone else think running frost during the event be a good idea?

    The fact they haven't announced it yet means one thing. They don't know themselves.
    This suggests that there's a possibility they didn't expect 50k fans and wouldn't have given us an event if so. Or that they left it until the last possible second because they were too busy with corals and boutique hair and junk. Most other mmo's give at least a weeks notice of events. Pwi just dump them on us at the last second or forget them altogether.

    Impossible for there to be a massive inflation on subs too, because tokens (conveniently) came back. So we can charge zen for subs and speed-level away to our hearts content, then charge more zen for high level gear.

    I already know where I'm going to be grinding. I'm not expecting to make a fortune (since I can't really play a lot, thanks to college), but I should at least enjoy it a bit more.

    I guess I made the first "other" vote. I won't do this exclusively during the event, but I made a killing in rep by stamp farming in fb51 and 59 during the last one. 59 seems to be more generous from what I could tell.

    If you have a LOT of patience and time, buying up all the cheap TT mats and then selling them later should net you some money.

    But with the length of this event, it will take a long time for prices to stabilize, so it would be a long-term investment.

    Seriously you couldn't find all the other post asking about when this event is going start. I don't know how many post I have been reading through that all have been for the same thing..when when when..we have reached 50k. If some people learn how to scroll down or go to the other pages on main general discussion you will see alot of post about the 2x event. LOL

    I'll be TTing with my faction mostly during the event, great way for everyone in the faction to catch up on armor/weapon mats. During free time i'll either be zhenning, FCing, or grinding.

    Money-making short term? I'd say straight grinding, but then again i heard the drop rate was lowered when the TB expansion came out. So dbl drops might not be what it used to be. b:surrender
