Client Running Unable to proceed with update?

hello i jsut recently downloaded the game i was just on it like 10min ago but i needed to exit out of it and change the settings and there was no start button it was update button and i clicked it and nothing happened. just says cleint running unable to proceed with update? whats going on?

    1. Press ctrl+alt+del, go to Task Manager, then Processes, then end elementclient.exe.

    2. Restart your computer.

    Either should work.

    control + alt + delete
    bring up task manager
    close elementclient.exe, pwprotector
    and then update.

    or if you be not tech competent then just restart your computer

    also um in the future exit the game by System (in the lower right hand corner) -> exit to desktop.

    and me sense me has been ninja'd by Aadi.
