what tactic should i chose in case of my top robe?

3stars till 77--> chieftain mold

TT70 --> TT 80 > ...

?

    Just do 3* still the mold, since that way is cheaper. If you want to spend some money or some time farming TT go for tt70

    To be honest, I find TT70 and TT80 green a complete waste of coins. I would much rather just try getting decent three stars with pdef and hp adds and shard them with a mixture of (average) garnet and citrines. The Dark Pants Of Hades are worth getting it, they can easily last you till lvl 90, so are the Sleeves of Sea Captain.

    Steppen wolf lord cape and dark pants of hedes with sleeves of sea captain are all nice. only hh 70-80 i would get are boots.

    Agreed on the steppen, pants, and sleeves.
    I totally DISAGREE with the boots.

    TT green boots are **** in general.
    TT80 gold maybe,...but still a waste of cash.

    Get genesis boots 3* with good adds and sockets.

    Comparison?
    My 3* boots natural adds: 69 pdef, 70 hp, 4 vit, 4 sockets with flaw cits
    TT80 = +mana (lol.), and +random elemental resists (LOL.)

    Nuff said.

    A pair of Good 3* is hard to come buy and with hh boots I feel I can definitely sell them for the $ I put it where as If i put flawless gems in 3 star 76 boots I will have to sell them for half what I pay for the gems imo.

    So what your saying is gimp performance for resale value?
    Plus, I've seen lots of good/decent 3* boots in AH frequently.


    Edit: These boots cost less to get than to get the TT ones in the first place, so anyone who gets the TT ones probably doesn't care too much about resale value.

    i already have dark pants of hades with 4 immaculate citrines; refined +3 b:cute

    Sleeves of Sea Captain mold is in my bank ready for me at 77 b:victory

    suprisingly i found a good Cape of Tauran Chieftain b:victory


    and now im just looking for that damn Steppen wolf lord cape and i think im set till mid 80s :)

    Considering that the double EXP is coming ... TT prices are rumoured to fall with double drops...
    therefore i could consider getting the TT80 boots later on...but we shall see b:laugh

    +2, at least with regards to arcane wizards. You hardly need more MDef, and that's the only real difference between the Tauren Chieftan cape and a cheap 3-star. Sockets are great, but also fairly cheap to add using tokens.

    Compare this to several 1 or 3* 67, 77, and 87 capes with over 100 hp natural adds or more.

    100+ hp > 5 hp recovery 3 mp recovery.

    And a lot cheaper. (find one with 3-4 sockets - not too hard if you check AH regularly)

    My cape is a 2 star 87 one with +70 HP, +5 vit 3 sockets with flawless citrines +3


    Bought it for 200k, the price of a flawless citrine
    Sins are Scissors. Psychics are Rocks.

    Mines a 67 cape with +50 and +50 (+100 total) hp adds, 4 sockets, 4 flawless citrines +3 - bought for 275k.

    This is really a matter of opinion. If you are aggressive and don't mind using extra pots/food to maintain mana, then raw stats are better. if you are poor and/or just casually grind, the extra regen can be worth its weight in gold.

    I'm often surprised how little value people in PWI place on regen in general vs. other RPG's I've played.

    mind you, a good wizard doesn't get hit, therefore the extra 100 hp is worthless :P

    Please, look at statistics of equipment of my Wizard (I preparing it now).

    Here extract from statistics:
    ...
    HP Recovery Speed +10
    Mana Recovery Speed +10...

    Must admit, that some of the items have their duplicates with other bonuses.

    I show you all that I have got until lvl 65 (except duplicates).

    The lvl 77 sleeves are amazing... -6% :P b:victory


    now at 74 i got 4k hp with the barb hp buff b:victory

    seen so many wizards get killed in 3-4 hits whilst im still standing there b:pleased

    I can't equip more Citrine Shards because of low Phys. def., but will try to refine equipment or to imbue more gems.

    At level 70 without buff with above equipment my Wizard will get physical damage reduction by 41%, with Wizard's Stone Barrier(lvl 10) by 56% and with additional Cleric's buff by 62% (against enemies of 70th level).

    That is a real good point as most wizards have issues with their Phy def.

    with buffs i usually got around 3k Phy def.. it always helps with mobs
