Perfect World In New Zealand

HI there

i am just wondering if there are any perfect world players based in new zealand and how good their connection is.
i play in christchurch new zealand and experience 20second delays in my spell casting b:cry often resulting in me dying.

any advice or tip which could help would be wonderful

    Playing from Auckland, standard broadband package.

    A 20 second delay is definitely not normal. I experience about a 1-2 second delay.

    Yup playing Napier here and I have no probs. Just normal TB area and west arch lag lol. Even then I still speed around west arch with graphics up full no probs. As for my spell casting time I have no issues. Maybe your computer to ^^

    Wireless or cord internet connection? If your on wireless its quite possible it simply can't handle the data that needs to be sent in time, thus causing u to lag and die =/
    And is it all the time? or does it just "spike" lag occasionally?

    Speed of processor? Amount of Ram? Operating system? Onboard vid or card and if card, how much ram? Dialup? DSL? Cable? Wireless?

    The above is needed information to help determine what your problem might be. Also....

    How many programs are you running at a time (internet explorer/firefox/other browser windows can lag your system out if you have a lot of tabs open for example. Media players. Etc etc.)? Done a recent virus scan? Malware scan? Done it online (there are thousands of virus's designed to shut down anti-virus programs in such a manner that you 'think' they are working, but in reality they are doing nothing at all, an online scan can help you determine if this might be the case).

    it could be a number of things, alot of players play from victoria and have no issues at all.

    -your computer's specs could be a problem:
    try pressing alt + f9 to turn down graphics to improve performance

    -your internet could be too slow:
    try upgrading it if you have a slow connection

    -you may need to improve your graphics card:
    there is a minimum neeeded, check the system requirements page

    theres a number of other issues it could be, but gl.

    I'm in Rakaia, 45mins south of Christchurch. Everything fine here.. apart from normal game lag in archo.b:pleased

    im in Wellington and have no major problems, i dc'd now and then, and the odd lag spike, but thats to be expected on a mmo, and on nzs current internet infrastructure
