I like attacking from a range but not being squishy, and dealing out a lot of damage. Also, any noobie tips and any advice to point me in the right direction would be very appreciated. thanksss.

If you want to attack from a range your going to be squishy. Ranged = squishy, unless your an Assassin but that's another story. =P It all depends on what your play style is and how you can avoid letting your squishyness get to you.

Wizards are nice endgame...but I can say from experience the middle levels are a pain. Good damage and the ability to use attacks of 3 elements to take out monsters.

Archers are good, nice spread of skills and quite fun to play after a while. Can attack from the air and do support damage.

Venomancers are the best solo class. You get a personal tank in the form of a pet and your basically a nuke with a shield that always follows you around.

Psychics are a high damage class that has quite a few nice perks to them. Their like a wiz only tweaked a bit.

You can make one of each and play around on them to find one you like, but I'd go with a Veno or Psychic first. Veno is the easiest overall to play IMO.

My personal suggestion for a starting class would be a venomancer. You get to be ranged with fairly good magic damage PLUS your own pet/tank/DD, etc. In my opinion it is an extremely well balanced class especially for the inexperienced, like I was when I started. I can honestly say, after playing all of the other classes, if I'd not started with a veno I would have become extremely frustrated and probably wouldn't be here right now. b:cute

easyest class to start with is venomancer but u wont do the most dmg your pet will

archer is range and the less squichy class
mage is currently the storngest dd class but half squichy
psychic is new class look like really squichy but also the fastest dps
elf priest(cleric) can do decent damage but main role is healing
    genesis (r.i.p.) ===> conqueror (r.i.p.) ===> zen (r.i.p.) ===> iam (r.i.p.) ===> guardianz (r.i.p.) ===> spectral ===> essence
starting to be a nice guild hoppers b:surrender

not sure what build u went with, but i do 4 times the damage my pet does...at least

@OP: yes, if u want to attack from range, but not be squishy, ur best bet is probably the venomancer. you'll technically still be squishy, but your pet will be the one taking the hits, so it really won't matter. alternately, a cleric is also a good choice. their heals make life much easier on them.

    ClericNico: 7x Cleric(Mainly Support), Hate2Love Executor

so me suggest you try out a cleric.
    b:chuckle
you get to shoot out Pew Pew lightning at range.
    ^.^
and well if that doesn't suit you then try out either an archer, wizard, psychic, or venomancer
those be the other ranged classes and all 4 be damage dealing classes.

I'd also suggest trying out each class. I've had false starts playing a cleric several times on this game, because I "knew" from other games that I liked healing. None of them got past mid twenties. Then psychics came out and I came back for the playable mermaids. I've been racing along (for me - I'm a slow leveler) having a blast. I also decided to try more classes that I'd not thought of, and I'm finding my even baby-er blademaster a blast as well. And I had "known" I don't like close in combat. Each race has two classes and their own starting area that takes you to twenty. I'd suggest running through each starting area; you'll get experience with at least four classes, and maybe you'll get one that clicks for you.
