assasin DD aoe boss.

I would like to ask a question here.
If you was an assasin, was doing 1-3. 1 cleric only who ih tank.
would you go DD with dagger and take 3k aoe dmg every aoe for like 20 mins. Or would you use your bow from behind mirror thing like rest of DD's do( in safe from aoe)
the squad i went with today was pretty upset I DD'ed with my 3 star 72 bow and not dagger in range of aoe( around 800-900 dmg no crit 0,71 rate) dagger 1,43 650-720'ish no crit no spark/debuff - yes far better thats true)
however would u send an assasin in to burn ~100-125k charm dding that only boss, or let him use bow?
ur alrdy **** pick, waste 50%+ profit or soemthing.

Squad complained bow was horrible DD for me ( but gotta know its kinda around same as axe bm / barb same lvl). and squad had 75 barb DD'ing even.

    Tell your squad where to shove it - I'd use the bow there without a doubt.

    they'd be jerks if they wanted you to DD with daggers, i use a bow for aoe bosses b:victory

    Depends on the boss I guess. As an archer I dont have much to think about but if I were a sin and could avoid the AoE dmg (close ranged ones) I would gladly do so.

    However it would be good if you could go i and debuff (the reduce atk rate one) the boss every now and then (if the debuffs work on TT bosses) so that the tank gets hit less.

    IN TT, most of the long ranged AoE bosses force the clerics to BB in which case you could might as well pull out your daggers and go DD at melee range.

    Edit: I havent done a TT1-3 yet so I might not know how that particular boss functions. But yes, the point here is that, if u can avoid the AoE dmg, go for it, else you might as well go melee and use ur daggers.

    If that be the case, squad can shove it, and slap your tank for not cancelling his AOE in the first place.

    How you DD is your business. I'm actually humbled you have that good of a bow, generally when BM's DD cause of an AoE they are packin **** bows. But as a cleric, I thank you for staying out of the AoE

    Wouldn't a LA die from that AoE in the first place?

    Also, a bow gains extra dmg form dex. And cause a sin is dex build like an archer, he would do the same dmg as an archer with the same bow would do (expet sin doesn't have any skils for it)

    O btw, I'd let that assasin burn from his AoEb:cute (jk lol, everything that can get him down works for me)

    Its not just with assassin's I did it on this bm heart, and got kind of chewed out because I wasn't dding up close, even explained I had a charm on, and reluctantly went up with the barb and dded. :/ Oh i was even using HF/sparks to boost my dding capabilities. ;/ Decided if the cleric let my charm tick more thena few times, I would have just said f them, and stayed back. =x

    Just depends on the squad/the understanding of people in it.

    Not really seeing a major issue, love the bows, working on my crimson horn soul smasher atm.

    For aoe's, provided there's maybe a chromatic thrown in, I just stick up blood paint, rib strike once, double spark, and stay sparked and re applying rib when needed. Whether it'll still cover for the guy with the metal music from RB or Dimentora (think that's the name) I'm unsure about, but generally the aoe is like trash with a few hp pots and bp.

    Spark pre AoEs seems to work good enough for me.
    Also in some bosses i have tried throw dagger at melee range to interrupt bosses skills and it works. Too bad it's 70% chance of interrupt. b:cry

    yes was that one. 3k aoe on my LA. thats not cool with 5k buffed. I have not naything against take a bit dmg, as can take a pot + BP's heal before enxt aoe. but no way possible avoid instant tick with pots.

    With my assassin I actually hit a little harder with my bow then I do with my daggers, the attack rate is just a bit slower. I think some people still don't realize that assassins can DD with bows and it doesn't affect their damage too bad. If they continued to rant, then after boss is done and splits are handed out, tell them a little less damage is still better then no damage from a dead squad mate then leave. b:laugh

    You can always get a TT70 bow.

    Otherwise, a melee sin against aoe boss isn't that bad either. Bloodpaint in 20 seconds can regent heaps of HP. Im getting like a minimum of 40 hp drain per hit right now, and 100++ on crits.

    i know bloodpaint. but having 5k hp and boss do 3k aoe. instant tick. BP dont rly help in this case.

    You would only be in the wrong if they bought the Charm for you. Tell them next time that if they want you to close range dd, buy the charm for you and tell them you will reimburse them for whatever is left of it. It's your character and your money you are spending for it, just like the rest of them. So how you decide to play it is your choice, not theirs, so long as it does what it needs to.

    funny thing. I actually told they could pay my charm cost if they wanted me DD with dagger. then cleric goes "my mp food thing" i waste too etc. argue begin right --- that point / bye squad, DD'ed boss done with bow then left -_-

    Woo ok just for you I ran a 1-3 to poke around. The barb (anonymous) canceled 0 of the aoe's leaving massive dmg to fly around. In a few of the cases the dmg was negligible with a pot, in the rest it was an instant charm burn of up to 2.6k.

    BP had a strongly diminished return do to the dmg reduction, roughly 15-30 hp back per hit out of 800+ dealt. It alone is not enough for Dimmy. In the long run the party wiped and I ran around in circles for 5 min eating charm to keep boss at low health then decided to just say fk it and died.

    It was however with spark and bp, plenty to heal from the aoe of the guy with the metal music from RB.

    Guy with the metal music is soulgatherer, his AoE is roomwide and will hit everyone. So that's witha BB.

    Though Dimentoria (and w/e he's called in 1-3, still the same guy), has a terrible AoE whichs is not healed with a BB cause all the oldscool DD'ers could just stand outside of the AoE range.
    And there is a damn good reason for the DD's to stand outside of the rangeb:surrender

    With Dimentora, you could try meleeing at his back. His AoE is directional. The Barb should have turned him away from the rest of the squad so the AoE only hits him. However, you might still get hit since you have to be so close to him. Also, you might want to be alert if/when he does his 007 so you can stop attacking and not pull aggro.

    That's a lot of charm ticks for no reason really. A Sin's dps with a bow won't be as high as with daggers, but it's still respectable and there's no reason to take those ticks since you're doing decent damage and can still spark and cast Wolf Emblem.
