Assassin...

At the moment i am reinstalling PWI. I was a 7x EA on a malysian server and 4x on PWI i am wondering what is the point of being the Assassin if the EA is stronger and kilss from a distance. I read alot of posts and watched some videos and i see that the assassin is weak and isn't that strong damage dealer. Seems to die an awful alot.

What is the good points on the assassin because i havent seen any so far. I might go play the psychic

    i dont see how theyre weak <.< , they kill squishies pretty easily.. and i steal aggro from barbs like archers do.. the only thing they weak to.. are heavy armors since they have no magical attacks.. and yes its a kind of hard being a melee and LA :(

    this made me laugh..haha....well sins aren't weak...in fact we have the highest dmg ingame(normal attack..well even skills aren'T that bad and we aren't even complete), are the second fastest class in pw(next to fist bm)
    have skills which are pretty good in pvp and pve(like focused mind to avoid attacks...even magic which no other class can do as far as i remember). our crit is the highest ingame, and we get the highest crit rate for 8 sec(which is enough trust me). we don't have the range of archers but we are still powerfull....and did i mention that we are there to kill archers? they can't run from us and keep distance. and a DD whose dmg has been halved cannot win over a dd who has full power and faster dps in close range(archers can sue theier metal attacks but that won't help much i'd say...and besides like we'd let them sue their skills)

    bms/barbs - different story. not built to kill them tho its possible

    take note that i don't wanna say we're the strongest just that we are better than archers in dmg. all skills we can use are included so its not only our normal dmg.(feel free to flame for all i care -.-)

    sleep, silence, seal, stun, strong bleed, free chi skills, some good and versatile defensive buffs, increase crit rate/damage, speed and woot woot stealth.

    these are really interesting weapons in the right hands, for not saying way so much fun (and we do same damage at close range >:D) but yeah, probably are worst pvers ever (in pure dex build)

    Stealth & Shadow Teleport in terms of PvP.

    In terms of DD --> depends on Boss or whatever and they can use bows.

    Assassins have stealth which is a major part of how the class is played. Also they have very useful teleport skills. So when you talk about an archers range I believe that the assassin is not at any great disadvantage compared to an assassin.
    As far as damage is concerned I don't go for comparisons. I go by what I need to get the job done. If archers can out DD assassins that is great I don't care. What I do care about is that I do enough to kill my targets.
    If I cannot kill a target then I get out of the way or get away.
    As for why to play an assassin, well, it offers a choice to player who like being squishy melee dds but can use their brains and skills to excel. Its a class for thinking players. So if you like button mashing you chose the wrong class.
