    Just because one faction owns most of the world map doesn't make that server the "best".

    This is correct. Most people would preffer a server where owning a peice of land was more possible.

    well that cancels out harshlands.

    In terms of tw, I think HT is the best because there is more going on there. It's more exciting and I bet this brings a bit more drama to the server. But it's fun to read the wcs. Other than that, you are pretty much going to find all the same things on each server.

    If you want a younger server with less people, choose Harshlands (PvP) or Raging Tide (PvE). Generally speaking, these servers probably favour cash-shoppers the most, since there's been less time for the player-base to build up stockpiles of in-game items to trade amongst themselves. Thus there are likely to be shortages of items (ie. higher prices) that are otherwise common on the more established servers, which gives an advantage to player who just buy from the cash-shop instead. This condition is temporary, mind you, so if you are not in a rush to level you may find that by the time you are high enough level to start looking for the rarer items their prices may have dropped to be equal to the other servers.

    If you want to go with an older more established server, Lost City is your only choice if you want PvP. That leaves the 3 other PvE servers.

    Heaven's Tear is the oldest, Dreamweaver is youngest, and Sanctuary is in the middle. Not surprisingly then, current Gold prices are as follows:

    Heaven's Tear: (463k/450k)
    Sanctuary: (425k/397k)
    Dreamweaver: (400k/360k)

    As you can see, the older the server, the higher the Gold price. This is because older servers have more high-level players who are relying on their accumulated in-game wealth to pay their way for free, thus causing price inflation since they can afford to pay more than newer players.

    If you plan to play for free, then Dreamweaver starts to look like your best option because prices will generally be lower for you. However, if you plan to spend real-life money, then Heaven's Tear will get you the best bang-for-the-buck.

    I love Dreamweaver a lot more now that I no longer TW. So much stress and drama...*poof*....gone. Anyway, I find it amusing that Calamity is now taking over RT server as well. Be nice if they shift their focus there entirely...be nice to see some more colors on our map. But, I really don't have to care any more. b:pleased

    If you're looking for a PvE server, I suggest Dreamweaver or one of the older servers like Heaven's Tear... while Raging Tides is relatively new, our gold prices are currently sitting at a nice, toasty amount of 500k+ and due to influx of PvP server players, it's a fail mix of Harshlands and Dreamweaver, with some Lost City thrown in (from what I've seen so far)... a lot of people throwing their words around thinking it actually matters. And as the server of Oracles and money, it's hard to get anything that requires gold. :p

    PvP wise...I suggest Lost City, seeing as how Harshlands looks to be completely dead - according to their forums, anyway.

As on other servers I've been on, there's two major guilds that hold all the power and everybody kinda takes sides between them. It's like a coke vs. pepsi question (and some people choose off-brand b:chuckle ).

    Personally, I like the community on Dreamweaver. We have our morons, but there's a lot of great people here. b:victory

    I doubt all 19x people there dislike you...I mean, back when I played on DW regularly I admit to never ever even hearing your name. b:surrender So I doubt a whole faction could hate an individual... just a select few. :p

    But yes, the community on DW is great... best I've seen so far. b:kiss Though my record is short with only DW, HT and RT...:/

    I play on two servers, Dreamweaver and Harshlands.

    First differences I notice: I had an FB on Harshlands... and it took me about an hour to find a squad. For an FB19.
    We then got a level 7x cleric in the squad... who felt the need to get a 7x barb to tank it. The barb nearly died. (No, I am not joking.)

    I have an FB19 on Dreamweaver... a 7x cleric comes in within five minutes of me asking for help, solos it in another five minutes or less and then goes on his merry way with a "thanks for the FB, good luck levelling"

    The Dreamweaver community has it's idiots, morons and noobs, but... frankly I quite like the community. Also, being the youngest PvE server excluding Raging Tide (the epitome of CS and oracle) the prices on DW are nicest for a new player who doesn't want to pay out the **** for everything at the moment.

    I try not to dislike something or someone without reason lol.

    I wouldn't say I've been on Cala's bad side. More like they've been on mine. :( I personally just avoid them.

    As far as my coke vs. pepsi...i choose RC Cola lol. For me, the bad experiences stem mostly from ego and assuming just cuz someone isn't in a "top guild" means they don't know what they're doing. I run into this a lot from tw factions. My experience with Cala has been really bad for this, same with Eq to a slightly lesser extent. Yes there are exceptions. Also, I don't know everyone in every guild, so I'm sure there are exceptions that I don't even know about. I don't really hold it against them. Being in the "best" faction(s) could inflate anyone's ego. Even Arma (sad to say) had a bit of the "ego bug" when they were still winning tw's. It was somewhat disheartening to blacklist/vent iggy someone in my own faction, but sometimes people just rub ya the wrong way. Anyway, I'm perfectly happy with my non-competitive faction now. So much less drama, and no one I need to iggy lol.

    Dammit, I'm rambling again. Anyway, I love u Dreamweaver. U guys are great (for the most part b:chuckle).

    Oh, and as for the morons on the server, how do i manage to attract these when i'm doing my low bh's on my alts? b:surrender
