A bit overdue

Every once in awhile, I jump on the forums to see what’s going on. Never bother to post, never saw a reason to. Anything anyone posts just gets flamed and it turns into a “Who’s bigger and “badder”” contest. So with that being said, I’ll make my first post, and welcome the flames.

First off, the Takoda-KD alliance. No one knows how this went down, and everyone seems to want to create their own explanation of what happened. Takoda was a small faction with members interested in Tw, so we attacked Kylin. We attacked Kylin because we agreed with how KD ran things back then, they seemed to have less rpker’s and seemed to be able to control their members better. So we attacked Kylin, and got absolutely rick rolled. So, watching what happened in the Tw, I decided to approach RayVer and ask about setting up a mock Tw, to show our member they’re Tw roles. Turns out this is against the rules or something, so instead we decided to have some of our members come onto KD’s vent and get some advice from some KD about Tw. Everything seemed fine, and we planned to set the vent meeting up the next weekend.

Then RayVer brought up the subject of becoming allies, “We could work it out so our members do GV, FC, TT, Pk, etc together. It’ll be just like we used to do with Kylin.”

So I went to killer_khan and Bunny_Spank with this, and over the next couple of days, we became allied to KD. Worked out great, we got some Tw advice and went on to help KD out in Tw’s with Kylin. And, if your KD and your sitting there saying, “How did Takoda help KD out in those Tw’s?” well, you’d be lying to yourself if you say we didn’t help you. I’m not sure what Xulin was thinking, but those 50 or 60+ in our Tw could have greatly assisted the 20 they sent at you in those 10 minute Tw’s KD had for free land. I’m not calling anyone out here, just stating a blatantly obvious fact, Takoda helped KD take at least 3 of Kylins’ lands. Have to remember, this was all taking place when KD was losing all of their land to Kylin, we helped turn the tide for you.

Anyhow, we started to get complaints from members that KD was pking them, and hence the alliance ended. Ended up becoming allies with Kylin, and its going great, except Kylins disappearing, there higher up are no shows at Tw and it sucks to see them go.

As far as this thread where Nurfed is saying they’re attacking KD for a fun Tw, congrats to you Nurfed and Zulu, I genuinely hope somebody gets to have a fun Tw. As for the rest of us, we’ll do what we do, attack Crimson, and wait till we can finally take the land from them, then get wiped of the map and watch KD run the map red. Reading further after Nurfed’s post, I saw a lot of talk about Tw’s. You all complain that we can’t have fun Tw’s, well we really can’t. KD owns the majority of the map now, and it will stay that way. You want us to be charmed in Tw? From where? The majority of this server can’t afford to get a charm for Tw. Some cash shop, or have done their cash shopping and can’t sustain it anymore. So with KD having the only real steady income on the server, to be able to supply they’re members with a charm for Tw, and with Gm’s/Dev’s throwing event after event, new cash shop items at us, and keeping gold at 400k+, good luck seeing a Tw against a faction with 80 people that are fully charmed. The only thing we have done in Takoda is to try to keep one faction from controlling the map, but it seems inevitable now. We’ll wait and see what happens.

As for Kylin going to all these little factions and recruiting their few 90+, well yea would be a great Idea, Uniting to take down KD, might work. However, you would then proceed to see the same forum post from the other thousands of people who can’t have fun Tw’s. It will never cease. In the end, it’s a game, have fun playing it, it’s been a blast for me.
