hey guys, i know this isn't my Internet, and i know its my PC, so here it is.
As soon as it gets to 6:00pm EST time i cannot play on my computer becuase of INSANE lag, I am running Windows 7, i am not running an anit-Vuris on it at all. I have 2 other computers in the house that have absolutley no issue with lag after 6:00pm EST so my question is, Why exactly am i getting lag on my computer, is it Windows 7?
Because the other computers are running Vista and XP

    Update:
    Just as soon as i finshed this post the Laptop which is Running Vista came down with a problem.
    Its problem is that as soon as you log in, it freezes after 5 or so seconds and i get "Server Disconnected".
    These computers are using the same Internet, the Laptop is running ESET Antivirus

    Have you scanned the desktop for malware?

    some other things to try:

    - reinstall your drivers for your ethernet/wireless
    - check that pwi is not firewalled from the internet

    I'm an australian player myself and get lag on and off from around 6-8pm normally. I'm from queensland. Some nights its worse then others though. ^_- im on a wireless connection and competing for bandwith with 3 other users, so thats likely to got more to do with it for me personally. xD

    ok thanks for your reply, i Live in Albury which is on the Vic and NSW border, my problem is only 2 out of the 3 computers lag, i just don't get that, my computer does not have malware or anything else on it, that i am sure of, the laptop has AVG and we HAVE NEVER had any Virus problems, so i have no idea what it is, my lag starts at 6:00 and doesent stop till about 12:00am

    Are all your windows updates done on the machines that lag?

    Windows is pretty irritating at randomly starting updates, and depending on what time you have set them to update every day..well that could cause lag. sometimes the shield doesn't even come up >.<

    on My pc there are no updates running, they are not set to Auto so they can't be randomly, and that is the same on all the computers
