I've noticed that pwcalc.ru/pwi has been down for several days, I wanted to play w/ some numbers and equipment choices but can't atm b:surrender.

questions,
1) anyone know how long has not been working? (have not used in weeks so idk how long could be)

2) permanently gone? o.O

3) any other good character simulators? My google search results were incomplete/very messy designs.

er... I guess I could just look up dmg/dps/defense etc formulas and do on paper... >_> math... b:shocked

    Yea, I've miss it too, I wanna test some stuff out too. As for replacements, I didnt find anything good or as useful. I want to know if anyone has good sites too. D:

    ecatomb's calc may look comparable to pwcalc, but its no where near it. i havent even done calculations (to confusing to do that) and i can tell that it just isnt the same.
    seriously wtf happened to pwcalc? cant believe im gonna say this but... QQ

    Ecatombs calc is fine to play with stats like vit, magic, dex, and str (example your a arcane veno and want to see if you can go HA at lvl 83 or something). However the stats in the pdef, mdef, magic attack, physical attack are off.

    I like pwicalc a lot more even though its not perfect it is pretty close. I remember when the stats weren't right but they've come pretty far.

    pwcalc is still not completely accurate either. but, its probably only about 2-5% off as opposed to the other calculators being 20% off. not saying its exactly that, cause i dont know the numbers. but pwcalc is better in everyway possible. btw, i think the person that owns the site uses this forum. maybe they know? *confused face*

    Yep. It was amazing calculator. So who will make the similar? We need it. It shame of dev. PWI that they don't have any official.

    i think its his hosting, the guy who made it has posted here. maybe if we could find him some reliable hosting.

    it's been down before for this long - im sure its not gone

    pwcalc was 99.8% accurate. I have made many builds there, including one which is my exact build and everything was very close to my actual stats. Many were even exact. I don't think more could be asked. I miss pwcalc too btw. b:cry

    If he needs a place to host it should be here! like in wiki or somthing or off to the side like wiki click link xD?once agian PWI "It would make me visit this site more".




    Or make your own damn 100% accurate calculator that you update personal ! Dx pwcalc OWNS!

    Ecatombs calculator pains me to use. I end up with 10k phys res and 4.8k magic res on a 7x character in npc armour....completely unbuffed. On top of that there is NO way to add gear bonuses to NPC and OHT equips. Not only am I unable to replicate current gear whatsoever...even if I do all the stats are completely out of whack.

    Why can't pwi just host it for this guy, help tweak it so it's perfect and bam...they have an official pwi calculator and everyone's like "wow nice one PW, helps a lot, awesome thanks!". But no. They'd rather spam us with a few more sales while the forums get choked to death and swamped with unhappy complaint threads.

    Maybe it's just down because the person is adding the new tideborn stuff >.> or adding the things from anni pack because I know those event capes from anni pack's weren't on pw calculator!b:victory

    They're uncapable of even creating a starters guide (they let players do it) and you want them to work on a calculator?

    The situation is the same as 4 months ago, when I had to temporarily suspend the calculator. Only now I can't rerun it ... The fact that the project has outgrown this hosting was clear a month ago when the load was within 2.2-2.6%, but no one expected that in a few days it could jump up to 7%. The site was immediately turned off, and hosting provider required to change the type of demand hosting (go to the VPS), or be closed.

    Attempt to choose the third option - "Change hosting" had not good results. On "majordomo.ru" - load jumped to 25% and maybe higher (apparently they have a weaker server). In addition, the move did not happen very smoothly. Some users still see this site on the old host (there Calculator included), and part and I at the new (there Calculator I turned off).

    VDS is not cheap, and I alone can not pay for this (at least at the next couple of months and then would come the money for advertising from Google - it will be easier). Therefore I ask users. I certainly not like it, but there is no alternative ...

    May be same situation now ...

    I loved PW calc... I especially wanted to try it for the tideborns and see what kinda crazy **** I could come up with. BRING IT BAAAAAACK!!!! b:cry

    If I were to make one it would be far more detailed and neater. Maybe I'll work on it slowly as I don't have tons of free time and the original one is back up ^^
