Will have to try that when I get to 95! I've tanked him with my nix, with two level 90 venos healing, and it was dicey the whole time.

    At lv.97:

    Eldergoth Marksman
    Atk: 3620
    Mdef: 7401
    HP: 3084

    Ethereal Inamorato
    Atk: 3015
    Mdef:7001
    HP: 2247

Skills like Protect, Claw, and Blessing multiply on these numbers.

Do you have any stats or perhaps just an intuitive feel for Celestial Sting vs. Ethereal Inamorato? I use my Sting exclusively for pulling, so I'd mostly just be interested in speed and range. I looked around in your other threads and didn't see any direct comparison of the two.

I put Tough on mine, and I frequently get asked by people with Kowlins to pull for them, especially on difficult pulls like General Warlord. The only minor gripe I have with it is that his attack animation is all but invisible, so you mostly have to use timing and intuition instead of visual clues to know when to unsummon.

Edit: Also, do you have to do the run unwined to get the Inamorato? I'm not sure I've ever seen one, but maybe I just didn't pay close enough attention and assumed they were Stings.

The Inamorato and the Sting just have the level of their skills reversed. My Inamorato came with Lvl 5 Toxic Mist, and Lvl 4 Slow. I was well beyond Lvl 89 when I went to try them, so it was a combination of less leveling, and my preferred Lvl 5 skill that made me choose the Inamorato (after I discovered how easy and profitable it was to grind with them on Array Guards). Any other differences I'm sure are negligible.

The animation does suck, but any ranged pet is going to be closer to you before it attacks in a lure which is a visual benefit unless you take advantage of it's range and back up a bit after sending it (great for bosses like Stygean). I never had the visual problem with a Marksman, and an Armored Bear unfortunately doesn't prevent kiting and the issues that accompany it. All 3 pets I consider valuable assets in the pet bag, and each has their situational advantages (some may prefer to use an 89+ cacto for bosses like Slitt for the extra distance).

Yeah, the Eldergoth's animation is great (plus he says "mmm, mmm! yay, yay!" so you really can't go wrong with one ;-), but I replaced mine with the cactopod and have a full (but not maxed size) pet bag. I really like the cactopod and the reactions I get from people who haven't seen it before.

Well as tweakz showed the marksman seems better for it but for a fresh out of the box thing the one from eden seems like it can do it because the max it will get hit for is 1800 (round about trying to consider the 5 level difference) But a level 90 one should be able to do it so long as you can heal 2k points of damage your fine and have a decent amount of channeling.(I did it with about 12% thats not alot but more would have been helpful) From what I can tell that is.
