A great medieval name but can I use it?

I have a great german medieval name but it includes the letter combination 'gm' in the middle. I've noticed a lot of games will not let me use this name because of that letter combination. Is this game any different?

I want to know before I bother to install another game and find out I can't play the character name I want.

    im pretty sure theres somebody named hugme on sanctuary. there may or may not be an underscore between the words tho.

    idk if the gm letter combo is allowed or not. but either way, if the name is causing you so much trouble (not being able to use it and therefore not playing great games), pick a different name. seriously. it doesnt take a rocket scientist.

    and to be quite honest, even if you get stuck with a name you didnt set out to have, you'll get used to it.

    Eh, even if you're flexible you can stilll be disappointed. I had three names ready for when I made my Assassin, all of them were taken, and I needed to get in quick so I could meet someone... so I finally found a name I was just kind of "meh" about.

    Six hours later, I get back on and I began to sorely regret naming him what I did, so I deleted that character at Lv4 and remade him with his current name (which, itself, was a modification on the name I really wanted - turns out Wikipedia can be a great source of alternate name spellings), which I am much happier with. I'd hate to be Lv45 now with the old char name.

    I'm not trying to discourage the OP, I'm just saying... moral of the story, try not to rush.

    Yes, I'm still a stubborn holdout in favor of the old game. Haters gonna hate. ;]

    Unlike most games I've played, Perfect world has a multitude of characters on one account, rather then one account per character. If your hesitating because you want to use this german name as a username, then be at ease. The majority of the time, your username is not used at all, but rather each seperate character has an individual name.
    I'm not sure if the name you wish to use is possible or not, however almost 100% of players have more then one race of character, and therefore more then one name.
    Would not being able to use a name really stop you from playing an excellent game?


    My impatience had much the same effect Miugre, I rushed in to make an assassin with the name "Theronn" and ended up making a Psychic. Of course I didnt have the patience to wait a whole week to delete the character, so here I am.
