Thunderdeath Edges....

Okay, so I'm starting to think about collecting the required mats to forge a set of Thunderdeath Edges for my barb...

Questions I have is, seeing as how I currently use a set of Calamity Axes, can anyone speak from experience as to how much a difference there are between the Calamities and the Thunderdeath?

The amount to TT mats required to forge the Thunderdeath is going to be a long process considering you 1st need to forge a skeleton axe, decomp it, then a thunderbolt axe and decomp that just to get the Souledge mat, then the others on top of that...

So if anyone out there is currently using the Thuderdeath Edges... what do you think? Worth the time investment to run TT enough to collect all needed mats?
b:thanks

Thunderdeath for around that level range is nice, if you want to be nice to your charm.

If you dont really care about your charm, calamities are the way to go.

The TT mats needed for TD are actually kinda cheap. It requires the cheapest gold TT mat for that level range, and is relatively easy to get ahold of, considering some people just npc it lol

I know a lot of us melee types enjoy collecting weapons. Its a hobby, and if we had a house, we would put them up on the wall to show off. If you have a little extra money and want to add another wep to your collection, I say go for it. I did :P

I love my Thuderdeaths, they're reliable and monstrous. 2% crit is really nice for a barb to have. Farming those mats are relatively easy.. farming my GX's for lvl 90 is a bit more time consuming.. but yeah.. these are what mine look like. +5 with perfect garnet and amber shard. They serve me well.

Resale isnt the point at all....

I have calamaties at +4 and thunderdeath at +5 with 2 immac sapphires. I use calamaties for pking, and some bosses when I have a cleric, but any grinding and most bosses, Ill use thunderdeath, because I go from roughly 3.5k-5.3k attack with calamaties to 4.1k-6.5k with thunderdeath, so a nice increase in damage.

saphire shards in a melee wep wow fail
they arent increasing either your damage or m.def

okay, so since I started 1 thread about TT stuffs for my barb, I might as well ask the next question here as well instead of starting another...

..btw thanks for the input on the tunderdeath's... just about done farming for em, it went alot quicker than I thought considering TT mats are scarce on Raging Tide an I gotta farm 100% of what I need.. just need a few more Mane of Consumer b:victory

so now it time to start working on armour...

A full set of TT80 gear sounds like a fun idea and I'm thinking of Feng's Heavy Plate & Leggings, Greaves of Giant Ape and Elfcrafted Heavy Braces....

sound like a good combo for a barb along with the Thunderdeath's?
    b:thanks

(and once I fully acquire all this since me barb is only lvl77 atm its gonna kill me to work through the next couple lvl's to actually equip it b:cry ..but always fun to be making forward progress and inventing goals to achieve b:pleased)

Gold TT80 armor takes a lot of time to farm. Many barbs say, dont do it, its not worth it. I disagree. The HP value is amazing, and once you are done, if your BM is on the same account, you can use account stash to transfer the armor when your done with it at 90 to your BM.

Not to mention, I think it looks awesome
