Possible Psyc Builds

Since there isn't any clear post about the possible builds of psyc, I decide to fill the blank (or someone already did I dont know)b:pleased
edit: find a good post by beastboyisbeast, check it out: http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=582692
Anyways I have gone thru enough pages on this forum myself and I see that almost everyone is having 9 mag 1 str or 8mag,1str,1vit. Here I want to clarify myself, there is nothing wrong with these builds, what i want to do is simply introduce a few other options that players can follow. Whether you follow it is up to you.
Also note, I simply transferred these information from Chinese forum so there maybe possible differences between the servers. I am not to experienced with this class as well so mostly i would be using other ppl's opinion instead of mine.
=========================================================
So without any more delay, here are the 5 builds:
Int Psyc
- other than add enough STR for armor, rest is INT
- currently the common build
- similar to pure int mages, very offensive
- good at killing due to the highest damage among all builds, BUT, int's effect on magic damage is limited (int for psyc does not add as much mag damage as int for Mages, needs confirm)
- favors more towards soloing (but with a tank would be better?)
- low def and hp so possibly can die very easily
Vit Psyc
-other than add enough STR for armor, Int for weapon, rest is Vit
-rare in this server i think right now (but this build has high praises in chin server)
-more defensive
-less damage output compare to int psyc, thus maybe slower at killing (but i heard even int psyc will still take a few hits to kill a monster tho)
-more party based due to flexibility between offensive and defensive(voodoos, but personally I think as long as you know how to play, solo is good too), can support party members better(able to tank if there is no Barb or Sword)
-survive the longer due to high def and hp (the key point i guess, good for PVP?)
Int & Vit Psyc
-add enough str for armor, Int and Vit depends on person (ex.9I,1S,1V or 5-6I,2-3V)
-rare but still some ppl in this server
-more int more offence, more vit more defence, build dependent
-lower mag damage than int psyc but higher than vit psyc. higher resistance than int psyc but lower than vit psyc
-can favor solo or party depends on build, skills and fighting style. Very flexible
-leveling and mob killing also depends on builds
Heavy Armor Psyc (dont kno much abt this but will put on here):
-similar to heavy armor veno build(if anyone knows that build b:surrender)
-builds can be played around: add all 4 or just 3. STR and DEX for sure to meet armor requirements. more Int helps faster lv but more Vit gives more def/hp.
-everything is really build dependent and I wont discuss in any details since I guess not many will interested in this build. (very odd one indeed)
-someone can try this build out and add comments
Light Armor Psyc (dont know much abt this one either)
-add enough str and dex for armor, int for weapon and vit is personal option
-has higher survival rate than pure int psyc, but less mag damage. Compare to pure vit psyc, my guess is that LA has higher evasion rate while vit pure has more hp/phy def
-has the highest critical hitting rate
-can party(tank?) or solo
-able to survive long due to high evasion rate and more lucky kills(critical)
=========================================================
To summarize, it is really up to your own view about which build is best since there isnt any absolute wrong or right answer.
However, for those who instantly refuse other builds than Int psyc: please consider that psy is diff from mage so you can't really simply just go for instant kill like int mages do.
Accordin to some chin discussions, psyc coordination/control is not as flexible as mage who can jump right into a battle and also leave it immediately. Psyc is slow and can potentially get hit = death?(yet confirmed). But in terms of state controls, psyc is way better than mage who has only a few skills. Therefore, only by increasing VIT/resistance, psyc can fully display their true potential in this game(lol, i might exaggerate but this is not from me but someone else).
thx for reading and, if you have disagreement, please provide evidence to back ur comment up.
edit: one more thing to add, Int Psyc doesnt necessarily level faster than VP since VP last longer than IP at mob killing, therefore kill more. However, a skilled player can in a way nvr let monster touch them.

I like how you included HA but left out LA...0

not getting some of ur conclusions , like vit has more defense? where does the defense come from ?;-)
apart from pure int , vit arcane might be the only real alternative....
but i think its the same like the other pure classes , go pure for dmg, get hp from refine , get def from shards
but just my 2 cents0 -

well to be honest, i think for Vit the main thing you get is hp (sry to emphasize def...but there is a raise in mag and phy def). More hp means you will survive longer from monster attacks. So what I am saying is that you cant freely jump into a battle and leave it if things get bad. Psyc probably will get hit so it is better for you to have more hp to survive a few attacks. Also in PVP for example, since psyc doesnt have high damage as mage so it will take time to kill your opponent and this is the part where hp amount comes in handy. Another thing is psyc in this game is not really an offensive class, it is more about state control and so on.0 -

I think basically LA build works the same as HA one.b:pleased0 -
LA is a viable build for any arcane class. as the dex you put in helps you get a nifty base crit rate, and your survivability is unmatched, unless you want to spend alot of money on AA which is the most expensive armor in the game.
HA though is just stupid the only arcane class that can pull it off is the veno, but thats because they have physical attacks. and there pet is the where alot of there dmg comes from.0 -

I see. however, by survival you mean evasion instead of def right?
I have added LA section. Please make comments if you see anything wrong.0 -

The main down side to a LA mage is that there aren't enough stat points left to put in Vit, so the HP can be a bit low. But with the added PDef and citrine (HP) shards you can more-or-less make up for that. The normal build for this is 6 Mag, 2 Str, and 2 Dex every two levels.
However, clerics and wizards (and the veno's Fox Form) have buffs that multiply the effectiveness of PDef, but I'm not sure how the math works for the voodoos and PDef since it affects Defense Levels instead of adding a percent of PDef, so it might not work out the same for psychics.0 -
I'm one of those who decided to use the vit build, for many of the reasons you suggested. At least for the early game. Later on when I can start getting more HP on my gear I'll probably not add as much. Until 75+ I don't think the damage difference between vit and pure is very big at all.0

thx sango, got a few more insights.
I agree wiz you to zeo, vit is good for early lv Pve. However, high lv PVP also favors vit build. However, I am right now considering about hybrid build for my psyc.(maybe not LA)0 -
I went full MAG. and at 32, I can say that it TOTALLY ROCKS. I kill pretty much everything before it gets to me, so the lower vit hasn't been an issue. I've also soloed all my bosses at level with the exception of Farng, Yangsheng, and the big tree guy at the end of the Janeeva quest chain. Charr required just a little bit of running, but it wasn't bad. I've seen vit builds in the 20's and 30's. They barely survive and have to spend huge amounts of coin on pots.0
