I heard someone from Lost City server got it. Any more info on that? Refine and gem transferable? Anyone?

You lose all refine levels and gems upon creation. It is similar to making a new gear with your old gear as the material.

However the nirvana items themselves can be reforged without losing refine levels. But you have to have the "final form" that costs much less to reforge.

Sorry for those of you who refined their TT100 or lunar or w/e to +12 b:bye

Yup which is why I have not refined my TT99 armour/weapons more than +4 or put expensive shards like primeval or citrines in yet... if planning to recast its pointless

How do you know this? Source?

"Recasting is an ancient Tideborn method for upgrading equipment. It allows individuals to upgrade their existing gear into new gear, while still maintaining their original attributes, refinement level, and sockets. Essentially through the use of this system, players can take their existing high level equipment, and transform it into Palace of Nirvana gear, and without losing any of the hard work they’ve already invested into their gear. This process of course requires certain materials. Recasting your equipment without these materials will still upgrade your equipment to Palace of Nirvana gear, just without any of your existing attributes/refinement level/sockets."
    Quoted from spoon's post.

It really sounds like you keep your refinement + sockets and gems on the very first recast.
GMs, try it and put the questions regarding Nirvana gear to rest. It would really suck if someone +12 their equipment only to lose it when he recasts.

Not sure how much that post holds true anymore TBH

Looking at the forges there doesnt seem to be a way to recast to Nirvana gear WITHOUT using the materials

My TT99 swords req 100 stones to upgrade before refining, now they are +4, 2 sockets they still req 100... Which is why im very wary of refining them higher incase the refine isnt carried over..

Another solution is to just introduce the stones that allow you to transfer your refine... The stones are out there in the other PW versions, just not here yet.

Im sure they will introduce them when the Tideborn get their sage/demon skills. (at least im giving PWI the benefit of the doubt...)
