A petition has been created to make the government more aware fo the increase in hacking and key logging software used to get a gamer's account info. This software not only gets the account info, it steals any personal info you may type or have set up in accounts online (such a PayPal). Spyware and AntiVirus isn't able to catch all of them and some fo the added security that games offer (such as authenticators) are still being ****. This petition will bring this information up to the House and Senate in an attempt to try and better protect us from these terrorists. Yes, that si what this is, virtual terrorism. So please, sign the petition. A letter is sent to your state's rep per signature so the more the merrier.

Noble effort, but nobody takes online petitions seriously - not even those who sponsor them. If you are really concerned and wish to make a difference on this subject, write or type a physical letter, and mail it to your congressman. In an age of email, txtmsg, and instant-messangers, the 'archaic' nature of a hardcopy letter actually makes even more of an impact.

Any competent government is already aware of this, the second part of it is if they really care. You lose stuff = profit. People lose stuff on a large scale = no profit. In general, the people well protected outnumber those who aren't.
