Secret of the water kind

I am currently trying to complete a tideborn quest named conspiracy that requires me to bring the secret of the water kind to the elder but i accidentally abandoned the quest and the item "secret of the water kind" was from the last quest titled signs. Is there any way to restart the quest chain or get the item again? Right now i cant complete it and yes ive tried killing the Crystal Shorepatrollers for a pretty long time now to see if i can still get it and still no luck.

    um, hav u tried talking to the person who gave u the quest in the first place? if that doesnt work then i hav no idea.

    It might be a bug. I'm also having that same problem. I also killed those Crystal Shorepatrollers and got nothing out of it. :S
