let's see i've seen this thread long ago, but i want to make it seriously. patch notes version 188 says:
i remark, "Each Genie, [...] will gain 10% of the total XP gained". So if you get 10.000 EXP from a quest, your genie should GAIN 1.000 EXP.
the problem (or i would say... bug): that your genie doesn't gain 1000 exp, she gets infused 1.000 exp, this means that from that exp, u have to substract the part lost. in my case, with a lvl 1x genie and i'm lvl 62, it was like 17.7% this means it gets only 177 exp.
so 10.000 exp from a quest gives 177 exp => my genie has only gained a 1,77%.
I think this should be considered as a bug, or at least a bad specification on the patch notes.

EXP Gaining with Genie has been changed so that Genies can now gain EXP while you kill monsters or hand in quests. Each Genie, while equipped, will gain 10% of the total XP gained. This is in addition to the EXP your character gains (Your character will not gain 10% less EXP).

I've nnow noticed (stupid me) that genie has a skill only for wizzies, a skill that would make reduce the damage they take with 310% for 10 seconds; and then increase, of course, according to the level of the skill. In the description doesn't say anything about it being a physical defense, a magic one, or both. Has anyone used it or do you think is it really worth it? Because i am planning to raise my genie in order to be able to get the number of affinities needed for this skill...b:victory0

The infusion/gain rate is based on your level compared to the genie level. It's been stated that the 10% is at an optimal level - until then you have to build up to it at a lower rate.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

sorry by my english (<--- from spain b:surrender)
let's see, u didn't get me. "10% it's an optimal level", yeah it is, your genie gets infused 10% of the exp u get from mobs / quests (and you don't get less exp for it). what i'm saying is:
ok u have 10% that your genie would get. But that ammount of exp is not the real exp your genie will get, because of the loss. as i said, in my case it was 17.7% so, what my genie really gets is 17.7% of 10% = 1.77% of the quest i cashed / the mob i killed exp.
I wasn't complaining about i have to use "infuse EXP/Spirit/Cubes" to lvl my genie faster.
And matzos, please, make another thread for your problem ;-)0
