Flying Pet Questions

Uhm, I was wondering if I should level/take:
(And my foxwing is probably not going to do as well as the elysium fowl. My foxwing is like, the supreme one, and it's about 4 levels off, and I can say that it's not going to match the Elysium Fowl, or higher.)

A. An Elysium Fowl (Next level as I do my WQ's for the next 7days o.x)
B. Level a petite sawfly (Bad skills at first glance, researched and it was a good pet, but I'm too poor to level the skills ._.)
C. A Cloud Skatefish thing. (Good skills, slower than the petite sawfly, might be badder stats than petite sawfly. Dunno.)
D. Flying Pig (Currently like, 600k off from a flying pig :P(Assuming the pig is 1million))Note : It will take a very long time to get the flying pig. (Cannot tame this due to school x.x;)
E. Did I miss anything here?

Edit : And no, I cannot get a nix, as it will take about 1billion years x_x; It's like, what 30million coins or higher?
o.o.

Good question. I too would like to hear experienced input on flying pets. Specifically, what is it that makes a petite sawfly so raved about, when it comes with lvl 1 skills? Does it have better hp/defense? I haven't tested yet, but it would seem better to charm a higher lvl pet at a glance. Obviously I'm missing something here :P

a petite sawfly is basically a poor veno's nix. although it has rather low hp, the pet redeems itself with high attack and defense. having said that, in order to get the beenix to it's full potential, you do have to spend quite a bit of money teaching it flesh ream and leveling up the skills. Obviously, this pet is mostly used for pk-ing robes, watching them running away and bleed to death makes me giggle b:chuckleb:thanks

The sawfly isn't even close to a Nix, and there are better skilled comparable higher level pets to tame than a sawfly. I'd highly suggest to consider your flying pets disposable until you get a Nix. You could sink 4m into a sawfly, but it would only slow you down on getting a Nix.

Yeah, the foxwing supreme is pretty bad.

An elysium fowl is pretty nice though - certainly good enough to kill the air quests you'll be getting round about then.

the cloud-skatefish / petite sawfly... yeah, if you level them are better. Is it going to be worth your time?

The flying pig is a better air tank than any of those - but again you'd need to level it forever, as well as paying a million coins if you can't tame it.

You can tame the white pheasant, but that's pretty much just a higher level elysium fowl. You can tame a mothwing slightly after you can tame the elysium fowl - but I t think it's worse.

The phoenix... yeah. I finally got mine up to my level. Wow. I suppose the fact that even with it round about level 50 it was tanking level 65 bosses should have been a hint.
If there's any chance at all you can save up for the phoenix, it's worth it. Wow.

Otherwise - it may well be worth just concentrating on a land pet. There's not much in the air anyway. The blazing pheonix that you have a quest to kill is really EASY to kill, and that's the last thing I'm aware of up there. Most of the good bits are indoors.

The problem with the pig is that you don't need an air tank, and it's atk is so dismal that you'd probably no enjoy using it. There are other bee type pets like a Goldwing Emperor which is considerably faster than a Sawfly with comparable atk / defenses, and a higher starting level (possibly better skills as well). Why waste coin / time on a Sawfly when it will be made totally obsolete by a Nix and isn't significantly better than other free pets?

Bleh. I wish there was a pic of a cloud skatefish/petite sawfly at like, high levels matching with an elysium fowl/white pheasant/mothwing. x_o; Anyone got any pics?

When I asked my veno friends on advice about fly pets, they said that for pvp the sawfly was better, but for pve the elysium fowl was.

Have you done damage testing with a elysium fowl and measured it against your foxwing? While a fowl's stats might be better (I don't know, I don't have a foxwing), if the foxwing has a better damage output then that would be nicer to kill with. It's preference though I guess.

I would just for with fowl as it comes with some decent skills better to upgade the pet instead of the skills. It is best to save up for a nix instead of buying all those skills.
Looking for a decent casual understanding Faction.

I'm new to game to and couldnt figure out what was better as a flyer, I cant afford a nix and I certainly won't use $300 real money for a pixellated beast. What level are the sawflys? Cause if I need it then I need to go tame it lol! I saw that Flesh ream is a skill it needs, are there any other ones? Thanks for taking the time out to respond! b:pleased

The lowest sawfly is level 8, so there's no problem with getting one.

Fleshream is given as a good skill because of its ability to deal full damage in PVP (most skills have their damage reduced in PVP) - when fighting monsters it's not actually all that great a skill for a pet. (It's not BAD, but it's not the aggro-holding monster that a barbarians fleshream is, and has a long cooldown.) Bash (and its cousins; toxic mist, icicle, fireball, lightning bolt and sandblow) is often a better choice.
