Lv 90 Weapons?

Hey, sorry for the potentially noob question. My girlfriend's getting up to 90, and I'm thinking of starting to collect mats for her weapon.
Currently, I'm debating between Wheel of Denied Fate and Wraith Conqueror. I realize the wheel gives more attack, while wraith conqueror offers more vit.
Which one would be the better choice among the two, and why?
Or are there better options out there?

It's all a matter of personal preference. For me, I would chose the wraith conqueror because I like magic swords which give spike dmg plus i wouldnt mind the channeling add. If you want bigger range of magic attack or more power, go for wheel of denied fate glaive plus it has channeling add so that is nice too.0 -
I'm using the Wraith Conqueror but like the tighter matk stats on the wands. I also know that vit kinda sucks as a stat for venos as we don't get as much HP (and possibly def) from it as other classes. The Magic +14 on it is nice since it contributes to max mp, mp recove, matk, pet healing, etc. I don't know that any wand would be better, just throwing this out as information to use.Be kind: Help the GMs to depopulate the servers.0

Glaives give more spike damage, because they have a bigger max damage compacity and a lower minimum, so they get the big numbers and smaller numbers.
So in my opinion the weapon is dependent on what build you are.
Vit/Arcane, I'd go with wheel because you already sacrificed some damage for vit so you can make up for some of it with the weapon.
Pure/LA I'd go with wraith conqueror for the added vit and more damage stability so you dont have random numbers especially with LA's crits I find it nicer on my LA chars to have a weapon with more stability to kind of balance it out.
But this is just my opinion
To each his or her own[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Thanks for the answers. I was under the misconception that there was one absolute answer because it seems like 9/10 veno's on lost city use a wraith conqueror.
Thanks for clearing that up.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
There is an absolute answer, Use the Wraith.....
As venos we have the lowest (by a wide margin i might add) mag att in the game. Our skills (even sage or demon) do NOT compensate for that fact.
Using anything other than a sword or a wand for a veno is not wise. Sure you have the chance to hit a LITTLE harder. but on average you will be doing less dmg and less dmg for an already nerfed character (bc we have pets) is stupid...
The ONLY arguement i can see is if you were pure mag. But even then we are no match for our other magic counterparts. Clerics/Wizzies/Psy's will always have the upper hand, why would you want to hurt yourself even more by using a glaive or patake that has such a huge spread?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

maybe you wanted to say less damage from spells with the same mag.
even that said, glaives will probably gives you more magic damage in timeSadpuma - Heavens Tear wrote: »Using anything other than a sword or a wand for a veno is not wise. Wraith Conquerer(3091-3730)
vs
Wheel of Denied Fate(3068-4346)
for pve, i think most will get the second one0 -
i didnt bother with all the equipment but here it is
Wraith Conquerer(3091-3730)
vs
Wheel of Denied Fate(3068-4346)

I stand corrected...
I didnt take into account the increase in mag attack the Denied Fate has. Taking it into account puts its min attack around the same min as the wraith. This is one of the very few glaives that has this stat and I still insist that Glaives and Patakas shouldnt be used imo (except for this thing or others with that stat).
But I am willing to acknowledge that I am wrong on this. Good show.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
the glaive does make for unstable heals, though. id prefer the sword, or even a decently refined alacantha: sunflame for a weapon to use until 95/99. it saves you alot of trouble by having consistent heals in TT when tanking those huge bosses, you dont want a high end one, then a low end after say a magic+melee combo upon your pet.0

So taking into account that the low end damage is about the same, with the glaive out-performing the sword at high ends, would the vit that wraith conqeuror comes with make a significant difference? Or is it down to personal preference?
My gf is a full arcane veno with around 50 base vit, if that info is of any use.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
For venos 1vit=12 hp, so 12 vit= 144 HP.
At the same time if you want more damage, since she already has 50 vit go with wheel.
HP can be gained from refines and shards, where as magic attack isnt as easy to obtain so I'd look at wheel[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I use both weapons and switch out depending on which I want more mag vs vit, hot keyed them so I can change mid fight...perfectly happy with both of them.
On the other hand I would check out the lvl 99 of each weapon too...that might make a difference on which you want to get.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
I am LA with extra vit, so Wraith's +vit isnt too needed for me. I more seek for higher damage, so naturaly WoDF was more tempting for me.
@SeaStorm - lvl99 weapons doesnt really matter this time... at 90s you usually quite nicely upgrade your weapon, so it is waste to decompose it to get lvl99 weapon. Cheaper is to get a pure lvl90 weapon for decomposing and sell upgraded one.0 -

Actually I never said I was gonna decompose my either of current weapons. And yeah, I'd be a freaking idiot if I did decompose them, considering I made them with two sockets and sharded with perfects in both, not counting the refinements. I look ahead cause I want know what I'm working for and what mats etc I need.
The point of my original post was: look at the highest weapon possible decide what you want and work backwards...that way you spend less money, time and energy on having to go back and start over cause you can't get a weapon you really want, because you are on a different weapon path.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
To my preference, the lvl 90 GX magic sword is one of the best. But if i had to choose between the wraith conqueror and wheel of denied fate, i would pick wraith conqueror. Also most of the time u should choose the weapon which fits her stats. I'm choosing the wraith conqueror because the +magic would help heaps and i'm switching to heavy armor so i need all the -channeling i can get and the stats points i can find.0

It was down to the Wraith Conqueror, Wheel of Denied Fate, or Aquadash for me. I went with the WoDF because I got a great deal on one with two sockets and already refined +5. I'm going to further refine it to +8 and add two sapphire gems (unless I can get my hands on an aquadash before I hit 90).
The Aquadash is basically the same as the WoDF but level 12 instead of 11, and infinitely more sexylicious..[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0
