Clear out all the inactive players causing to much lag!!

Like west arch to be honest its so hard to do anything there on heavens tear server took 40 min just to do crazy stone and i know its not my computer cause everyone else was having the same problems maybe if your inactive for a certain amount of time you get removed from gameplay that would create less lag I think thanks for readingb:laugh

    The fact that the cat shops are the main source of lag in Archosaur doesn't mean they are the only source. My laptop is getting pretty old. Even if I only have XFire and PWI running, I drop to between 2 and 7 frames per second. I have the absolute lowest settings possible, when I am in Archosaur. Getting a new computer would solve my problem, and your's, for the most part.

    Doing something about the kitty parade would do a lot more. >_> I am leaning towards the idea of putting an area restriction on the use of the vend action. Make it so that they can only operate in a specific area away from the main areas that are constantly crowded by the active and moving characters. North-western Archosaur and South-eastern Archosaur would be ideal, as they have the least necessary NPC's in the city. If they can figure out how to make the shops completely invisible to a character that is not within the walls of those areas, it would be nice.

    The AH does a lot to help, but the costs are a problem. The fee to put something in the AH, repeatedly, sometimes defeats the purpose. And the fee for receiving the money win something is sold is painful. A double fee. Finding what you need can also be a problem. Especially if you rarely use the AH to find stuff, instead getting it yourself by farming.

    In short, you are denying half the problem, and offering a faulty solution to the other half. Removing the cats all together won't do a lot of good. Just put them where they won't lag us.

    how bout an option to make every cat shop & player invisible no matter how close you r to another player would tht work?

    use the lower graphics option, faster performance (left top)
    i have 200+ ping, 1 mb ram, 512 mb graphics, core 2 duo 1.6 or smth ghz pc and i have no lag :S

    oh and i think this is related to ping.. not related to PC specs much coz wen i play CSS, if someone with high ping comes in, not only him but all of us lag.

    although me play with highest distance and the best performance turned off and still don't lag in west arch. b:chuckle
    also......it be all about the 1.6
    CSS was too easy... (>.<)


    now what me would rather have then kicking afk cat shops would be area restrictions around NPCs. hmm...like 20 meters would be just great. (of course me would settle for 10+ meters as well

    Yes i would love area restriction around nps. booting the catshops after so long of inactivity is only going to help soo much. more then less make the people who have several computers running to have them up need to relog on and set up the shop. I'd still love it if they made a place you tele to in order to make a catshop. but that idea probably won't happen.

    I've got 78 ping, core 2 duo 2.0 ghz, and 4 gigs of ram on my lappy.... it's the 128 mb graphics chipset that kills me ._.

    I also agree, these cat shop things create SO much lag..i mean towns are just covered in them. And my pc is all up to date and shoulD easily handle this game. Graphic all on low, and still Mega lag in town. Get rid of these stupid cat shops..
