Unable to update?

When I open up the mainscreen for Perfect World, it gives me an error message along the lines of "unable to update". It will not let me update, therefore it will not let me log in to the game. Help?

    I run the launcher.exe but the updater doesn't work :S
    game version 229.
    updating files
    buff_str.txt
    but can't connect to the server pls help b:cry

    Im having the same issue, and got that as a reply.

    About to go check it out now, see if it works.

    EDIT: Right off the bat, Verify button does nothing for me

    Well... I feel dumb.

    Im running Windows 7, Iunno about anyone else. And my pwi is in window mode. So when I clicked the close button the game still runs which I forgot about last night.

    And since its W.7, when I did that.... It went to my "sub" task bar to the right. Should be the same with other verisons.

    So look at the task bar to see if the games already open, and if you have what I do, click the upward arrow and look into the pop-up to see if it went there instead
