Is it better to level up all your skills for both or just as one?
I mainly play as human so i was wondering. I'm trying to keep them all evened out but it isn't easy to do so.

Focus on human form, since you are a caster, but make sure you keep your fox form, amplify damage, leech and purge leveled up.

Once you have SP to spare, than you can level up more of the skills in the fox tree.

All the skills are useful to a veno, so sooner or later you will end up learning them.

Fox form gives you the ability to fight when otherwise you may not be able to. There are useful and not so useful skills in both forms, Fox Form more in the later levels.

Ok but what is the point of leveling purge past 1?
Nothing changes on it all except the cost of money and spirit

Cooldown. The lower, the better for times when you need to cast it multiples of times.

level 1 purge should be sufficient until level 60 or so. Or, when you start doing TW/pk.
I was early taught to work as well as play,
    My life has been one long, happy holiday;
Full of work and full of play-
I dropped the worry on the way-
And God was good to me everyday.

I generally agree here except with two minor points:
    1. Purge is great, but at lower levels you can only use it every now and then as something buffs itself. Mobs buffing themselves are few and far between so there's no point in going past level 1. However, once you hit your 70's or 80's stuff that buffs itself becomes a bit more common and having it more is great. So get it initially and leave it at 1, use your coin/spirit elsewhere it's spread thin enough already. Once you hit say 75 or 80 max it out.

    2. Add one more fox skill, befuddling mist is the most cost effective. The reason for this is that sitting in fox to amp isn't much damage and even with no channeling a befuddle/leech/amp combo is 6.4 seconds. The additional damage from befuddle is worth the .4 seconds in fox.

You need debuffing mist to get leech, that is why I did not list it as a skill to get, since it is already a pre-req for leech... same with wallop and stunning blow all 3 are pre-reqs for leech.

There's something of a difference between having to learn a level to get up the tree and deciding to level it up and use it.

    Three warnings with befuddling mist:
    1. The accuracy hit won't help a herc, or indeed anything else that has applied the 'strong' buff, which gives 0 evasion.
    2. The accuracy reduction will reduce the amount of damage reflected from real tank (that have bramble of course, and also the psychic soul buff)
    3. It has a small AOE. This means you'll pull aggro from adds that you didn't intend to. So be careful.

    Those warnings aside? Great skill.

one more thing about Befuddling Mist:

They don't say it, but it appears to be AOE! The reason this is important to know is that in FF, you could cause a party wipe on the hands boss using it (middle of huge room).

I've also noticed that when you use the mist skill it drags everything near you at you. If I'm ever in fox form that is the spell i use the most so i'm in danger from mobs my level. I died quite a lot on that one.
