Since the Tideborn update, the game seems much more likely to crash, almost every a few hours on average. Before the update, I've played the game ever since the closed beta for 1.5 years, and the game crashed for probably less than 10 times.
Just wondering whether this happens to just me or everyone.

I've found that if you somehow manage to click the side wall of the game when running in windowed mode, it will CTD. I have a small space (about 1/4 of an inch) between the game client and the right edge of my monitor (I use that space to watch a progress meter on a global weather simulation I am running).

Occasionally I will click the meter to bring the simulation up and instead click the edge of the Client/Meter boundry and BAM CTD.

So far it's been the opposite for me. The game has been much more stable, especially on my girlfriend's 4X Core AMD with an NVidia 9600GSO. On that computer the game was virtually unplayable, crashing every hour or so, but since the Tideborn update it's been rock-solid.

This game has been crashing nonstop for me since probably about 4 or so months ago. I used to be able to play in full screen mode, now I cant. I sometimes cant tab out of the game for fear that it will crash on me again. Hell, sometimes, I am in the middle of gameplay and it suddenly feels like crashing. That Bug Report window and I arent the best of friends.

I know a TON of people have been having the same issues. People with pretty sick computers too, top of the line gaming stuff. Ive sent in tickets, posted in the support forum, and not one single PWI staff member has said anything about fixing it.

Yup, frequent crashes for me since Tideborn expansion. Hardly any crashes before that. Something to do with ATI graphics cards, maybe?

For some strange reason, I used to crash from the updates until now. I love to screenshot things so I went to the medium graphics setting and for some reason since, I haven't lagged or crashed once on it. b:cute

I think depending on what computer your using, will depend on if you will crash or not. For me, I'm doing pretty good. :)

Ugh my game just crashed while I was reading. No jokes. It seriously did. I was about to close this tab it but bam it crashed.

Also does anyones game crash when they run Xfire? Or click the side of the screen in windowed mode (like the resize thing)?

Pretty frequent crashes and disconnects here too...No problem with other games x.x I'm tired of it cutting out midfight and coming back dead...I also don't send in a report since you have to fill out a bunch of junk XD Usually I would but It's annoying for as often as it happens.

I used to fill in that annoying bug report.

But then I started to think it wasnt being received at all, even though it did say sent successfully.

I personally think we are being fed a load of bs as usual. b:surrender Oh well

Maybe it'll be fixed in the next update ^.^ Or at least improved...Some bugs are expected after such a big change.

Next is forum levels showing correctly XD

    Hi,

For me the game has the same stability. I often still have problems with the following:

    - Changing the graphical mode from maxed settings to minimal graphical mode, the game randomly exits to the desktop with no error message.

    - At times the game seems to randomly exit to the desktop with no error message or warning for no reason.

    - Alt + Tab in windowed mode can sometimes cause the game to exit to the desktop without error.

For the alt + tab we can only install the Simplified and Traditional Chinese language packs.

    http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showpost.php?p=741711&postcount=6

For the rest of the problems the submit report form is not good enough. It does not contain enough information about the problem. There are many causes for the game to exit or encounter a problem. outside of what information is contained in that report.

Unless an official ticket can be submitted which contains information about a particular problem with instructions to reproduce it, there is a good chance it cannot be fixed.

    Regards

Already installed the language pack, as well as reverified the files after every update. Still hasnt been fixed. And I havent done anything to my computer really, my desktop is currently my gaming computer, and my laptop is for other things, I seperate the two. So I know it isnt on my end.

Yup. I hold multiple certifications, I'm reasonably certain these types of discrepancies are not a result of my system environment. I have also installed the language packs and yet the problem persists ^ along with a variety of other ones.

This is happening to me also, and it drives me nuts. Mostly because I quit playing full screen because the game was crashing most of the time when I tried to minimize for anything. Now the worst thing is that because my laptop is widescreen, the teleport points for Timberfield and Raging Tide don't show up when I play in windowed mode, so if I want to teleport I have to resize the screen by dragging in one side... which makes it crash at least 50% of the time. Not too hard to avoid teleporting to Timberfield but Raging Tide is pretty far from everything. They need to make the map have a scroll or zoom feature.

Aside from that, the only real problem I have had is near the Tideborn starting village. Sometimes I crash just flying over it. Every time I teleported from it to Raging Tide or the opposite I crashed. A lot of people in my faction have been complaining about more crashing since the expansion as well.

I run the game in windowed mode 1280x720 and I can click City of Raging Tides even though the waypoint itself is missing. I just put my mouse over the border of the window where it seems cut off and it it will display " City of Raging Tides" and when I click it will teleport me there without having to change the resolution or fullscreen the game.

I run My desktop pc in windowed mode because I have a dual monitor system. Both monitors are wide screen & I have the same problem with the map. A scroll feature with the map would be a great update to the game. *wish-lists a scroll feature*

As for this crashing issue, for Me it's been going on since the genie expansion mostly when I'm in W Arch in shop mode which, as you can tell, is aggravating when trying to sell items overnight while sleeping. Other times it's crashed as I've been playing. When I installed the X-Fire voice chatting program, it would crash the game shortly after starting up X-Fire so I stopped using it. It helps. There are times when after I stopped using X-Fire, it crashes with no warning & no bug report.

I have the game running with other apps at the same time. Heck I've even had Photoshop running, which can be a cpu hog at times, & browsers going & it does fine, aside from a little cpu lag, or other times it will crash.

I've sat & watched the memory usage through XP's task manager & the client seems to steadily eat up memory to a certain point then crashes. (This without any other program running in the foreground.)

I'm thinking memory leaks are the cause.

Yup. It crashes when I click the side of the window. Other random crashes too though. (Not as often for me in full screen)

TW used to be smooth even with max graphics and effects.

Now since the tideborn update all the TW's I've done are with 0 effects, min graphics and everyone invisible. I have to only assist attack or tab target and can barely use skills due to the lag.

My computer can handle even the most demanding games with ease but apparently not the tideborn update. I'd suggest a graphical option to turn off other's genies as they are completely unnecessary to see. Also give the effects slider more options. The lowest setting doesn't allow you to see any effects and the second lowest removes most of the effects but the next increment on the slider shows pretty much everything. There needs to be a middle option such as showing only skills being cast.
