I understand all people make mistakes so it is possible active somethimg what should not be activated like xmas tree yeterday, but important is how people solve their mistakes.

In my opinion it should be much better solution if you left that tree on place (example for week) and reneable quests for cards 8-14. I believe this thing a lot of people appreciate much more than if you just call it mistake and remove.

When on real christmas there werent time for complete Event, why not make it now. If PWI can have aniversary 4 months (no offence just fact b:surrender) why should not have PWI xmas Two Weeks after real xmas.

Delete or close this thread if you want. I dont want be angry or rude. Just would like tell others my opinion.

    It is what it is, a lot of people didn't have the stuff to participate anyways. Those who did, yay... If they can't do the full blown out event then they need to just let it go!

    I hope Christmas this year will be stellar! I also hope they've found ways to make other holidays special in perfect world.

    Well you could get reward just for gather color card pack and 1 from 8-14 wish cards. All could be able get from xmas tree.

    Hello

    I agree totally with WShadow.
    Instead of removing the trees after 1 day I would have let them be there for a week too.

    Dear PW, so many mistakes in such a short time is a bit much.
    And btw. I think the most of us player have been happy yesterday to see and use the trees.
    And I wouldn`t be surprised much if most of us thought like me:
    Oh cool, PWI is trying to give us something to be happy and to make us forget the awful x-mas days ingame.

    BUT...

    Hopefully you`ll act a lot more professional this year.

    Soooo. In the end it was not a bug or something that made the Xmas event not appear at Xmas, and only gave us the snowmen. It was a deliberate decision of PWI staff to not enable the full X-Mas event.

    Good way to show how much you appreciate your player base, PWI.

    Because that event would not have put any money into their pockets.

    So, it means that GMs DO NOT care ppl who tried to earn money from gathering (buying from catshops) and decided to let them waste money for buying 0G npc items.

    i totally agree with WShadow and would like to have either,
    1. Xmas tree coming back with CLEARLY PRE-ANNOUNCED period to at least finish the quest with the cards already appeared in the servers.
    2. Declaration that the Xmas event will definitely come back next year meaning we have reasons to keep the cards in banks.
    or 3. Make it valuable for npcing if neither of above cant happen

    if there is no change due to their mistakes, it clearly means losing some ppl participating in events.

    They decided to NOT have a christmas event this year. A holiday that is celebrated all over the world. Things are really slacking, sigh. It was so much more fun with REAL events back in the day...

    The only thing they needed to do to make this real and fun was enable the "recluses" across the map we had to fly to last year to get cards 8-16. (Or perhaps I'm not remembering the event correctly, but I believe we had to fly around to NPC that we stationed all around the map like a WQ to get that pack of cards). Just enable them and flip the switch that makes mobs over 75 drop the higher tier card set. All the programming is there still. They proved that when the trees and santa just appeared and worked fine.

    Can a GM please explain why there was no Christmas event? It was obviously a conscious decision to NOT have it. I'd like to understand PWI's rationale for this. I feel like you kind of owe it to the playerbase here to answer us, but I doubt anyone will or if they do it will be a total "I'm running for Senator answer" All fluff and no substance.

    I just want to know why everyone is so worked up over the xmas tome (the end reward of xmas quests), aren't there a ton of them out there really cheap?

    They are going for 1.2-1.5 million. That is really cheap for some and not for others. Awesome that you have so much money, but not all do. Also compared with free from questing and talking to NPCs it's a significant difference.

    They also chose to NOT activate the free christmas outfits in the Inventory Masters , in each major city in PW!!! Now , THAT, ticked me off!!

    Sorry. One more add. It's not just about the item at the end. It's about having a special event that doesn't revolve around a cash shop sale or cash shop event. The Xmas event was the SINGLE event throughout the entire year when the GMs failed and failed again at other events that everyone compared to and said "Now the Xmas event. That was an event to model all others off of". Instead the GMs took the ONE event everyone enjoyed and decided not to implement it. I'd love to know the reason. Please GMs. Santa not working? Oh wait...yeah he was......xmas tree broken?.......oh wait no it wasn't. Common. Be honest you just hate us all........b:cry Naturally I kid, but come on. You're just cruel.

    I didnt care much about npcing the cards from the snowmen i got, as long as the trees showed up yesterday.

    It really freaked me out because i couldnt find the tree on archosaur and then i realized it was no where else... u.u

    I would love to be able to finish the cards quest. I think it was a very bad decision to remove the trees once they were up there.

    It was fun to do it. I really dont understand why if you have the content you just couldnt release it.

    For people like me that missed the last xmas event (i joined may 2009) I had very high expectations about it. So sad you all turn me down.

    I loled at your post. For a second I thought I posted it, since it sounds like something I would write. I couldnt agree with you more. I just hope they can supply us with a patch that will remove all of last years events from our PC, not like we'll ever use it again. They events are making PWI folder bigger on our comp, taking away usable space.

    If the trees had remained up, people would have been complaining as well because many sold their x-mas cards after the snowmen disappeared. A mod made a statement that the snowmen would be the only thing active this Christmas, apparently without consulting a GM on the issue. It turned out that this was correct.

    The entire thing was very confusing this year. There were announcements buried deep in threads but nothing on the main news page of the website, and nothing as a single post sticky announcement in the forums [like spoons has up right now about the trees]. I think that the information could have been conveyed much more effectively. A lot of people were confused, especially people in game who don't go to the forums that often. A centralized announcement would have been far better.

    Now this I can wholeheartedly agree with, if they fully implement new events every time. There was also the Chinese New Year Event which was decent, and the epic fail of the valentines event. We need more new events that don't require the cash shop, but I've pretty much lost hope we'll get them.

    As you are all aware, from the start we announced that this event would only involve the snowmen. Santa, x-mas tree, and living snowmen were all not going to be used.

    Something happened and those NPCs appeared, many players began posting about how angry they were that they had deleted the card for the quest, they were very angry with us for "lying" to them.

    We didn't lie, in fact, those NPCs weren't supposed to be there at all. For this reason we removed them, and they will not be put back.
