Do Equipping Crit Arrows Work?

b:surrender not sure where to be posting this topic but i was wondering if equipping crit arrows really do work?

example:

Elite Falcon Feather Arrow
Requires Lv.4-16 Bow
Physical Attack: 40
Critical Hit Rate: +1%

b:surrender
does the physical attack and the critical hit rate have an effect on my char if i equip this arrow?

Only if you're using a bow.

Even if it did work, 1% really isn't much anyways. You wouldn't even really notice a difference.

But as Konari said, no; it doesn't work unless you are using a bow.

It doubles your crit rate if you only have 1 o.o

tbh i think it could just be a display bug for stats... i mean... blessing +1% crit is good, right?

there is no indication of separating melee crits from the range crits under "Character Info"

The only possible shot that a non archer class can use is the Elite woven fang arrow. To use it buy the basic bow, equip it then equip a single woven fang then remove the bow and equip your own wep. This leaves the woven fang equipped and does add +1% to crit. The only class that may be able to go higher would be Sin as their dex would be high enough to use higher lvl bows to equip elite falcons. Elite lead shot and such used with slings can not be used because slings are archer specific.

Yes, the crit you get from tomes works properly (I'm assuming that's what you mean by blessings).

The crit on arrows is only taken into account when the actual arrow is being fired (as in when you're using a bow). Soon as you unequip the bow it's taken out of the equation (even though the character screen still incorectly displays it).

If it did work, we would be banned for abusing a glitch =P

Yep, because they are so willing to give up profit from ~90% of the non archer paying customers for this little infraction that would be easy to fix on their part while others are getting away with stalking, harassment, world boss luring, etc.

I am a barb with 66 dex with my gear on 4% crit rate, my tt80 gold axes give me 2% crit. So far 6% total. I equipped a low g1 bow and an elite woven fang and re equipped my axes. I now have a 7% and the change was noticable. So i vote yes it works. Even if it doesnt ill keep my woven fang on till someone pks it off me

I've heard that it does, and I've heard that it doesn't. To be honest, I don't believe any of the claims, because I doubt any of them truly did enough testing to come up with a statistically valid set of data that proves the point one way or another. Even Wrathfulsynn's link is mostly people bickering over how the original poster didn't use a big enough sample size (though it does look like his crit arrow test was fairly conclusive).

But here's the thing ... who cares?

Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't, but either way, all my characters have a crit arrow equipped, and why not? I know it probably doesn't do anything, but if I don't have a crit arrow there, it's just an empty slot on my inventory that's wasted. So I spend the -- whatever it is, 80? -- coins to get a bow, equip my arrow, and let the game figure out whether or not it works.

The one thing I feel 100% confident about is that it isn't hurting my damage to have that arrow.
