How did the GM's pick their names?

Ok just a curious question, but how did the GMs pick their names? (ahem, eatwithspoons).

How did you come up with that? drawing letters from a hat? :-p

Also, what is your favorite GM name or just general character name in pwi?

I've seen some cool names out there, and at least for me, I spend more time trying to pick my name when creating a new character than I do editing it's other features.

My favorite so far is my sin named "Breadstick"

    Well I'm working on an epic blog about the lore behind my name, so you'll have to wait, but I'd assume the other GMs pick whatever name they like best based on their gaming history.

    Of course, the real issue is NOT choosing the same name that you actually play with, as much as we like helping folks we enjoy our free time too b:victory

    Spoons is my favorite.

    eatwithspoons is my favourite GM name! :D

    But I think the best name that I saw in game was a barb called something like 'dirty flea bag' lol I can't even remember the specific name but.. b:sweat I found it kinda funny because of my name, we dueled, I lost so I fail at my job, but it was still a funny little moment. b:chuckle

    Another one was 'buttlick'.. she was a character and a half... XD

    You can't honestly say I have the coolest name you've seen! I've seen way better names!

    I remember a CaptainObvious from some game, and the only reason his name was so pro is because he would literally make the most obvious statements.

    We would get some bad server lag, and then he'd say "I'm lagging!"

    Or he'd walk up to us in a town and say "I am here!"

    Or in pvp "I'm being attacked!"


    I'm trying to think of some more, I know I've seen some real gems out there.

    i miss an old friend of mine from another game called GM heimdallr lol, he was an absolute smart ****. like for an example, when players were posting pictures of themselves in a community sticky, they begged him for one of his own pics.

    his response was a picture of his left leg behind a player in a pvp tournament ~_~;

    some make names off their gaming history, some make some that have to do with the game they run etc.

    I've seen GuyInRL before XD There are a lot of dirty ones I remember x.x Can't remember specific funny ones but luckily I see a couple every day on Raging Tide since everybodys still new so most have pretty original names...I despise when everybody and their grandma starts throwing x's or something all over their name because it's extremely unoriginal...
    ex: "XxXPsychicLOLxXx" "dARKs1nXX" Oh gosh...

    Okay, I was messing around making a character. I tried to make one named IBendSpoons. Invalid Username. It let me make IBendForks though. Spoons, do you hate forks that much? =P Yeah, I know it doesn't have anything to do with this thread, but I didnt want to take up room by making a new thread.

    I have to give my gf credit w/ this psych name: Psyonara

    GM names, I think BearClaw deserves a mention. Mainly because I don't know if it's a reference to the pastry or the animal apendage.
