Problems in PQ

Hi everyone. I have a problem and i'm not sure how to handle it, maybe you can help me.

Here is the situation and I have partial proof. I started the public

I took the public quest with a group of players. I proceeded to kill the first initial 200 mobs and I notice an archer starts following me and hits all mobs which I attack. I am rank one so I think nothing of mt because some players follow me or reproduce what I am doing or help me kill mobs. So of course I say and do nothing. Pretty soon I notice the mobs are dying very quickly. And I inspect this player.

This is a 9x archer hitting my mobs. Immediately I look around and see this players wife is a wizard. Of course the archer is not taking the quest because it is for level 60 -80.

The boss gets lured and I die. The couple start saying that I lured the boss on purpose and they say "Player Griefing" is bannable and I will be reported for griefing them for no reason.

Does anyone have advice?

I quit doing the quest for now. And because I did not record the initial 200 mob kill I cant prove what happened. I have video of me asking them why they are harassing me but they did not respond of course and admit to that.

    Well since the rewards for that quest are based on you're overall contribution (plus a random number generator) it seems like the archer was trying to help his wifey get the top reward by nurfing other peoples contributions. I wouldn't worry about his threats to hard, because unless he can prove that it was you pulling the boss and doing it to just cause him trouble, I can't imagine anything being done. If something is done, I'd call attention to this post.


    OFF TOPIC: Is it just me or does it there seem to be a lot of people threatening with a griefing report just to get their way anymore?

    Assuming everything you've said is true, then you've got nothing to worry about, and it's just some high levels greifing the other players and being a*holes.

    I'd say just ignore them, and report them if they come into the 60-80 PQ area and start that **** again.

    Yeh it's the first time for me. I'm an adult player, I don't need to throw fits to get my way or "Cheat" to win. I go for fun but this takes the fun away when a very strong char prevents me from getting kills. I can't score well. NEver had anyone threaten to report me for "Player grefing"..I was doing nothign wrong. He came and hit my mobs. m not worried about the threats I doon;t care about that so much but it doesn't sound unlike PWI to ban someone without healing both sides of a story.

    Yeh they're doing it now. I asked the comunity because what can I say to PWI? An archer is helping a Wizard spend money? I don't think that will get far.

    I won't deny that there is potential for that, all we can do is hope that they actually take the time to at least consider other sides to a story before spamming the ban button.

    Besides, "No reason"? I'd say you'd have plenty of reason to pull the boss on them. Seeing as how its a PvE server and you can't go after them straight up.

    One of the benefits to a pvp server, someone starts pulling that stunt, the arcanes in the area can rip em a new one. Can't stop us all XD

    However I hope my forum reputation is a good one and that most players understand I am adult and I am a bit above that. I don't care to harass people over 136k exp.

    I began to do the quest hoping to ignore tham but well the archer followed me and repeated the same actions. So I just recorded it in HD. It does suck though because PQ is my new favorite part of PWI and I would be disappointed to learn I must tollerate this.

    I agree, especially since they don't care about KSing in the slightest.

    Well it's a public quest everyone has the same objectives the competition is damage. I always encourage players to hit my mobs if they apologize. They aren't stealing from me. Either I am doing the most damage or they are. That's all there is too it. I don't believe anyone can KS anyone in PQ. the purpose for DD classes is to DD and score the highest so that doesn't bother me at all.

    I do feel it's different for someone outside the quest 20+ levels higher to hit my mobs so I cannot score and enjoy the game.

    Lol. Na, I don't PK anyway. Besides I would just get ganged lol. They left their faction to be more anonymous then threatened to get their whole faction if anyone griefed them O.o

    Okay so if I have the quest, and other people around me have the quest, and I am going solo. If I attack their mob, am I "stealing" their points? Because always when I've done PQ, everyone is attacking everyone elses mob and I've never seen any complain about ks'ing, but I don't want to be stealing peoples points especially since I usually come in first anyway. b:shocked

    Also since the 90-something wasn't doing pq, wouldn't your damage points still count, and he was just helping the quest go faster? Or do you have to actually kill the mob to get points counted? *is confused*

    Hmm well as far as "Stealing" other people's kills in the quest goes. I really believe at the end of the day it's really player opinion.

    The objective for me as an archer is to deal damage, that is how I get points. It may be said the whole objective in PQ is to deal damage as well. So in an environment where the objective is to compete for points via kills and damage, the idea is to be the number one player. You can draw your own conclusion from my interpretation.

    The problem with a 9x char with a +8 weapon attacking my mobs is that I can only get in one or two hits then the mob is dead. I do believe you get points based on damage, not necessarily kills. So if I am unable to deal damage I get a few points only because I only dealt a small amount to the mob. I did not observe my score climbing at an alarming rate as a result of this "Extra assistance"

    I feel this thread has led me to an answer . I will no longer watch it. The answer is to let it go and do something else in the game.

    Hate to see someone miss out on a part of PWI that they enjoy, but here's hoping that you'll be able to come back at some later point without having your contributions nurfed. It really is an enjoyable quest, especially for clerics who don't have to squad if they don't want to.
