Strategy to beat Clerics when they use Plume shell

I always found clerics who use Plume Shell so much, my first strategy was to just keep attacking them until their mp is gone, but that didnt work because clerics my level can break my shell with 1 wield thunder. So i just used Wings of grace, then stunned him/her. Then you run away until the Plume Shell wears off and they become squishy again!
TO bad this only works on clerics who dont have both 79 skills, that extra shell and 60% less damage is annoying.

If full hp I just stun and kite and normal attack hoping for a debuff. Know the cooldown on plume barrier and instantly start attacking right before it wears off.
If they are close to dead or a weak cleric metal debuff and lightning strike does quite a bit.0 -
Usually clerics use plum shell from the start and if the fight is long they use it again.But kiting and waiting for the shell to wear off is good ( unless lvl 95 archer has heaven shatter q.q ) but not sure, I've been agains cleric not much to know b:cryb:surrender0

You forgetting 1 thing the Plume Shell of Clerics protecting ONLY vs Physic Attacks , so Metal debuff and Metal based attacks afterwards make them pretty much 1-2 shots. I admit it's true when you not neglect your "crappy" skills. b:bye0

the bleed work too and poison but another question how low dmg XD
(sage frost arrow work too but do lower dmg than metal, but in dragon palace is pretty usefull)
metal dont hurt too much on arcane cleric but really better than normal hit and if crit really good.
(if u got low hp then avoid the 1 hit from cleric Tempest [often they do with genie amplify and mdef debuff etc] u can use metal dmg immune genie skill)
in 1vs1 few time clerics can surprise when u crit on them with 3rd spark with metal b:victory0 -
stun>freeze at 30 meters (max spell range is 28)
kite like a crazy and pray they dont have holy path

get a 95 purge bow and pray for a proc

and this is the most comonly used tactic i know of on sanc...gank with a squad of people 20 lvls higher

Fighting clerics who spam it can be difficult if they know what they are doing, it's just a matter of patience and waiting until you get the right oppurtunity. I've taken down 90+ charmed clerics on my level 82 archer before.

K sure, but what do you do when they sleep you or seal you so you cant run away?

metal immune skill have longer duration and cheaper but absolute domain is universal its true (idk,the best if have alot genie in invetory Xd)0 -

Apoth if it's in pvp, and in duel, when sleep is imminent, try casting wings of grace before, you get a nice big resist and watch the cleric QQ0

yes thus the sheer amount of archers praying like midnight tv faith healer's before they ask for money from the veiwersGifs are hard to make work here0 -

best tactic?
Get a lunar bow (heaven shaterer? ) with the debuf , +11 it and just normal shot. Cleric MP will be gone in 2 shots then the cleric is another 1 or 2.
Until then (95) with the widely available lunar gear, citrine/garnet gems and DO sale, I'm sorry to say but you don't count in either PvP or TW. Get to 95, live in TT to make some cash, get full lunar set (ring, boots, hat, weapon) and then go out and have fun.0 -

i thinked what u said its called immobilize and not freeze, but ofc maybe i am wrong cause mainly i know the pw my names and there have stun(no movement/no attack)/sleep(same than stun just from 1 hit u wake up)/paralyze(or immobilize, no movement, still u can use skill and attack)/freeze(same efffect than stun)/seal(no skill and attack but can move)

If your unable to take them down during the stun then there is a few different things you can do to not get killed by the sleep, debuff, ep, tempest combo.
What you can do is while your kiting them you should be out of their range and they should be out of yours. Right before the plume shell effect is over then you can use wings of grace. By the time your done casting wings of grace they will be in your range. Most of the time they will still use sleep, otherwise they will attack. Either way as soon as you finish with the wings of grace then hit them with the stun. After the stun you can either attempt to use take aim or deadly shot if their HP is close to half (the the point where they are almost about to tick) and if you get a crit that can be enough to kill them without them ticking, or you can use normal attacks. By the time the stun wears off you should have around 10 second sleft of the wings of grace effect.
Another option is if you have absolute domain. You can hit them with stun as soon as they are in your range. If they are able to sleep you, then you can use absolute domain when they use their ultimate. I wouldn't recommend this as your genie will be low on energy afterwards, rather to save it for a backup if something doesn't work out.
If you have the level 79 skill then you can stun, kite until plume shell wears off, and then stun the cleric and try to take it down. The level 79 skill gives 8 second immunity to stun as well as 8 seconds of max movement speed. If you are unable to kill the cleric during the stun duration then you can use elven alacrity as soon as you notice the stun wear off. The skill has no channel or cast time so you don't need to worry about planning it a few seconds in advance. Also it has the advantage of no real animation. A lot of the times the cleric your fighting wont even notice that you used it and go for the sleep only to have it fail.
Of course if the cleric has their level 79 skill then the fight will last a bit longer and you may need to try something different.
You should never really have problems fighting a cleric your own level unless their gear is much better than yours. The key is to be patient and wait for the right time to attack. Every fight I've lost to a cleric is because I was impatient and tried to attack when they had plume shell up.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

id recommend stacking - interval gear, and using apoth elemental damage adds. every little thing to improve your damage is always good. frenzy on genie helps too if you arent noticed. idk, just throwing things out there.0 -
at low lvls the 3 metal attacks are ok enough to kill them sometimes but around 8x-9x u realize ur lol metal dmg isn't worth it, this is where demon quickshot makes ur stun+quickshot deadly during their 10second cd on plume shield0

If they have a MP charm: Survive 15 seconds > stunning arrow as plume is about to wear off so they can't use WoP or guardian's light > quickshot > pray for a proc.
IF they don't have an MP charm: stun > quickshot > they run out of Mana, not even a 5000 MP food can keep it up under a 1.18 attack speedNavarre was your everyday veno, until she learned her true form. many things u can do, if its a cleric of ur level, u can spam stun, quick release quickshot and serrated arrow ..to gain 15 chi each arrow...and then if ur hell u can steal his chi, which is what he needs in order to spam shell and use 3rd spark, now that u have chi u can use wings of grace so they dont sleep u once their plume shell is gone, remember to stun and have enough chi for aim low, because they tend to run at this point, follow up with quickshot and if it procs its usually a dead cleric.
I find cleric vs archer to be more of a chi war, whoever has more chi usually wins, however i find most clerics only fight you when they have 399 chi, as for the archer usually doesnt have more than 100 chi saved up unless ur carrying someone.
the fight goes a bit different tho when the cleric has a lot better gear than you do...
if you have full 399 chi however (something i never do) u can wings of grace + 79 avoid skill (gives 10 chi) and hell spark and break their plume shell . however most clerics tend to run, so ull have to use chi pot and aim low if u can, or skip wings of grace and use antistun pot/domain/antistun genie skill, or hell spark right after u wake up from sleep.
many things can happen, they can get a lucky crit and ull have to back off if its a cleric with pro gear
they can sleep u and use 3rd spark, to counter u can use metal resist genie skill..lasts 7 secs which is usually enough for you to wake up, as they usually take their time to put all debuffs on you and paralize and then 3rd spark takes time + the slow casting weild thunder0 -
guys...just a simple tip...when i see a cleric with plum shell just use ur metal skills...you know those skills are... try it! b:pleased0

Well, funny thing is, it all sounds good, but i rarely does happen that way.
In duel's well for most low levels, archer does come on top, but on higher levels, unless archer hits a lucky crit cleric is the one laughing.
While in PvP, who ever gets a jump on who, you cant honestly say you always watch out, and that you always have your finger ready for a cleric alert.
Just as no cleric can say that they can beat an archer in any situation.
And about those timings, while a great idea, lag plus many other human factors wont let you do that, and there will be always a gap. Further more some clerics have sick p.def b:surrender

you got it the other way around lol, archers SUCK at low levels while a cleric low level can just spam ironheart. At endgame Archers will come on top. as our physical attack gets real high every level, your physical def barely gets any higher, unless sharded with lvl7+ garnets.Please donate money into my mailbox

i dont know why people reccomend to use thunder, they have b.itching magic resistance, it will barely do more damage.Please donate money into my mailbox

uh this i have to disagree with lol...
archers smack clerics at mid levels. this is because your range maxes out way before any of their cast range gets close to yours. so that sleep at 5x-7x, that wield, that's not getting anywhere near you.
at endgame clerics will invest in pdef, and their pdef will be magnified by their buffs. not as tough as wizards' pdef, but it's pretty good. i'd say they can reach 8k-10k pdef buffed at end game. their cast range also gets to 28, which is like 2 steps away from your 32 range.
and about metal spells...i can crit 2k-3k on a fully buffed robie cleric. obviously it's not your first choice but if they're low on health already might as well go for it.Elena Costel: I wash my hands of this affair.

hey i don't know if you knew this or found out by now but our Metal attacks work perfect with that because their shell only knocks off Physical damage i thought it was crazy too until i tried and you should too0

seriously cleric plume shell lasts 20 seconds and its cooldown is 30 seconds. so basically u have 10 seconds to kill the cleric and if the cleric uses sage vanguard before its 100% additional phys damage and its as if u were hitting normal shots on a bm without blazing arrow. and if before the 20 seconds he uses guardian light +10 seconds of "Cleric turtle". then just plue shell again.. a good cleric 9x > an archer if he is wise and has a good phys def. we archers have the worst armors ever.. yes LA sux. nuf said[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
