Genies -- automatic or how do I tell her what to do?

I apologize to those who get irritated by a question that is answered elsewhere, as surely mine is, but I've read lots of pages and guides, and finally decided just to post:

I have a genie. She flies around me, and has an attack skill. When I fight some mob, does she attack it automatically, or am I supposed to tell her when/where/what? If so ... how do I tell her when/where/what to do?

Thanks.

dont know if you found out already but just incase, do you see where there energy/stamina bar is at? Its right under there. You just click it and they do the skill.

    http://www.ecatomb.net/

That site will show you all the genie skills along with everything so you can formulate a gameplay on how to build her up. Also, whatever your class is or choose to play, check the forums to see how those classes build there genies so you know how to spec her correctly. i just bought a new genie (to cheap to buy reset scrolls)and am building her properly b:victory

THANKS! I've been feeling stupid trying to figure out the basics of Perfect World. Clearly a well done, cool game, but I'm glad there are nice people on the forum willing to fill in the blanks in the beginner guides.

There are some fantastic genie guides on the forums if you look (should be in the sticky) which have information on skills and good training methods to level them up. A well-levelled genie can strongly benefit you with powerful attack skills, enhancing or even healing abilities! That makes them an invaluable resource in both PvE and PvP.

As a side note, you can also drag genie attack icons into your sidebar and use the F-keys and number keys to quickly access them in or out of combat.
