reflect from slipstream was hitting me for 1.2k and i had 1.4k hp x.x such a charm waste thou it never did kill me, thou is slipstream ever critted it would of lol
thank god i only needed one quest drop from them

but now at level 56 i'm killing the barrens boas, this guys don't even cast bramble when there on low health, some of them have been casting it when there on 3/4 hp and others cast it as soon as i hit them

killed me twice in 5 minutes qq

lol anyone got any suggestions on dealing with bramble rather than just running away when they cast it? rofl

Puncture wound does very little initial damage, so reflect doesn't really hurt as much. If you kept sleep at level 1, the damage should also be low.

Sooo, puncture wound > deep sting is your best anti-bramble friend.

It is good but, it takes long to kill a mob w/ bleed and sleep

Get a bow and range those mobs first. If they don't cast Bramble, finish them off normally when they get close. If they do, Puncture and run til they die.

Yep, but I save my puncture wound for the exact moment they cast bramble though and start skilling again after bramble wears off. I have absolutely no intention of bleeding an opponent to death.

Watch for the mob to cast, then bleed them.

Stun / sleep them and run til it wears off (only about 5 seconds)

This is how I delt with all of the mobs bramble that I've killed so far. Byt the pythons were really a pain... most of them would bramble 1st thing, so I had to do a lot of running around. >.<

Oh, and keeping an at-level bow and arrows with you at all times is a must for an assassin I think. it's saved me a lot of time, trouble, deaths, and pots.

A bow? I think Earth Flame, Knife Throw, and Shadow Jump is more than enough to replace the bow on many occasions to be honest.

Use a bow to start the fight. You can shoot most mobs 3-4 times before they get in melee range. This will have cut off about 1/4 of there HP, making the battle much easier.

It's just a cheap way of getting off some extra damage before you even really get into any danger. Hell, I've killed Weak / Sac Assault mobs before they got to me w/ a bow quite a few times.

Not to mention that being built exactly like an archer, we get a nice dmg bonus when using bows. >=D

Lol this was one of my main arguements for using a bow as a 'Sin. I had the 43 mold daggers at +3, so opted for the 50 stash bow which turned out to be a great thing. These snakes were killing me (or more accurately I was killing myself on them)...but they're ranged attack mobs so a bow handles them nicely. In addition, if none of you have noticed (I'm sure some have but I find folks all the time who haven't) once you equip a level 4 or higher bow, put elite arrows in the slot, and when you go back to the daggers you keep the 1% crit bonus from the arrows. I actually made room on my bars for both types of arrows as well as the daggers and bow so I dont waste the crit% ones using them.

I mentioned in another thread that it'd be cool if we could use slingshots just for the faster ranged attacks when we need to range things.

Actually...one of the GMs confirmed awhile ago that you only get the crit bonus from the arrows when they are shot from a bow.

interesting...on stats it reflects the bonus with daggers equipped...
