I actually have to agree here. The dying system is horrible. It's a gamble to get a color you like, then a gamble to get a decent dye out the packs. Not that it surprises me, being pwi.

So many clothes sets I would have bought from the boutique with real money if only you were guaranteed a set color and they had a decent preview. I know I'm not the only one either...

i really start to hate PWI, i hope some good cool event or sales for this Christmas and new year
    but they really disappoint me
it seem like i have no way to dye to white even if i willing to pay 100
i mean buy hot color packs from CS spending 100 and i know what i would get from that ****ing pack

Its not PWI thats setting the AH prices its the players. People are quick to point the finger at PWI being greedy when 90% of the time the player base is 100% worse.

No you BOTH have no idea what your talking about.

White and Black are RARE colors. The color packs drop them VERY rarely, thus their cost is commensurate with their rarity. If you don't like the price, well... choose a more common color because common colors are cheaper.

Rare and the fact everyone and his/her dog wants white or black. Ive always found it cheaper to use random dyes to hit black/white rather than try and buy the colours.

Just because Player X is willing to spend a very high amount for a certain item doesn't mean that's the actual value of the item. This is a problem people have with selling items. They set their prices (most of the time) based on what a select few will pay and not at a price they are personally happy with selling it for. Gold prices in auction house is the same way.

Don't let those select few set prices for you or anyone else... set your own.

Greed. I always try to set prices on what a majority would be willing to pay, because personally sitting in a catshop for 2 weeks waiting for that 1 desperate person to come along doesn't really appeal to me.

However, you'll get those types who will ONLY sell at a price only a desperate person would pay. If the item is worth 1.5m, and a desperate person might rarely pay 2m, the seller thinks selling at 1.5m is "losing them 500k". Doesn't matter if there's a wide market of sellers at 1.5 and even lower, they'll try to sell at 2m and stick at it until they get their money.

Considering I have purchased over $100.00 in pigments and have NEVER gotten a white or black (but got an **** of reds, oranges, greens, blues, pukes and vomits), I personally doubt that chart.

Well I don't play with that kinda money...But anytime I sell stuff I go so low that everything sells in one night usually. XD I hate waiting...I could use that time to get more items or sell other things...Any profit is awesome. I laugh a little when I see vastly overpriced items in catshops...Knowing that my items are gunna sell 50 times faster X3

Supply = Demand..... that should end this entire thread...

I dont like it, u dont like it, most dont like it, but because obviously there are ppl that will pay the going rate, thats what sets the bar... we can qq all we like about it, but ppl will forever continue to sell mats etc for all they can get, and someone will always pay for it and inflation is the name of the game... its just a fact of life.

Also, white, red and black pigmets are more rare. Idont think theres an equal chance to get them.

Players wouldnt set up such a high price if they were like... more common.

The OP obviously doesn't know what the hell they are talking about, and it should also be obvious by basic errors in grammar and spelling that they sadly lack the ability to grasp "Supply and Demand" so I'll simplify it for them:

If you have 1 Apple, and 100 people want an Apple, and all try and outbid each other.. that Apple is now worth a lot of money.

If you have 100 Apples, but only 10 people want an Apple, then those Apples aren't worth much now are they?

This is an example of supply and demand. There are a LOT of people that want White dye, but there isn't alot of it around, as such, the demand for White dye is higher then the supply, and the price goes up.

Okay "Supply = Demand" w/e... but where does the supply come from? The ridiculously low chance of getting one of those dyes from the horrible dye packs. Also other colors are NOT cheap... a few 100k+ for one dye is not cheap at all when you need 20+ dyes for one thing.... which is outrageous also.

I think everyone who ever wanted to dye his/her clothes knows about the pain.
Why can't PW just sell every single color in boutique, so ppl could pick what they want? Well, I can give me the answer for this myself - It's because of the money. People are dependent on what they get randomly and what other players sell in catshops/AH. And this way they spend way more money than by buying a fixed amount of pigments.
But that's just not the way it should be imo, especially when you need over 10 to over 20 pigments for one freaking piece of cloth.
Even if you don't want white, red or black you would have to buy, let's say, 11 yellow/jade/whatever pigments for a Corsair's dress. And that's expensive as well.
I think you can talk about rip off here. But as long as players are willing to pay the prices, nothing will change. And they are and will be..

Yea, i read that if you have all white fashion you do double damage?????????????

You're complaining about a luxury item that doesnt help your characters performance one bit.

$25+ to refine each peice of gear might be something to complain about.

    Fixed it for you.

No, not fixed. The prices are only half the problem here. Its the sheer amount of dyes needed to dye something. Take Superstar Coat for instance, 18 dyes, see something wrong with that? Especially when its random what dye you get out of the packs so you probably wont even get enough of the same color to dye it.

At least now they give you the option to preview clothes in the AH. People tend to throw stuff in there pretty quick (buying multiples no doubt to try for decent colours), so now I always hit the AH to check out what the new outfits would look like.
