logging into the forums

ever since the.. idk.. release of tideborn i think, when you log in (doesnt matter which way you do it, the thingie at the tippy top or clicking the "login" button) when you log in, it directs you to the pwE website, then you need to click the game, then click forums, then find the thread you were reading. it is incredibly annoying and an unnecessary hassle. please fix it and bring it back to the way it used to be, where if i click "login" on the forums, i log in, and am still ON the forums.

    I just tried it and I wasn't redirected. Can you tell me specifically what page you're on when you do this?

    um any page on the forums. usually while im reading a thread and am ready to post is when i go to log in. and ive tried both the thingie at the top and the login button and its the same result. also the same result if i click "post" and it brings me to the login screen. soon as i login im at the pwe site.

    lemme gather some links to show specifically what i mean.

    That's REALLY odd. Because I logged out and in on this page, and I wasn't redirected.

    I'll keep trying stuff out. b:surrender The only other thing I can think of is your password wasn't typed right?

    I assume you would know if that was the issue though, so I doubt it's that.

    Don't log in from there, just bookmark the main forum page here.

    http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/index.php

    then log in directly from that page at the top.

    EDIT: I think I misunderstood the point of this post...I'm pretty much always logged onto the forums so I don't have that issue.

    I just logged out, hit "Post Reply", was sent to the login page, then was sent to this reply page with no pages in between.

    ugh so that means its SOMETHING on my pc or my internet explorer.

    how do i get the thing to "keep me logged in on this computer"? that would help a bunch.

    oh and no, my pass was typed properly lol. and dont bother fiddling with it spoons. you have better things to do. ill have my dad check it out later bcuz apparently its something wrong on my end. i was wondering why nobody else had complained about this, thinking it was a change made.. guess not :/. lucky me lol.

    It should be in your browser prefs if you just want to save cookies after closing, but if you use IE I highly suggest using a better browserb:chuckle

    Chrome is pretty nice, clean too. It's up to you, but don't blame me if you switch browsers and the problem no longer persists b:chuckle

    Why does firefox scare you? IE is an awful browser...

    Really there's only Opera, Google Chrome (which I think is going to be good but would not recommend it yet), and Safari (made for Macs)

    hmm how do i put this lightly...

    i am one of those people who really should not be allowed to use a computer. every time i download or install something.. it requires about a week worth of fixing and my dad rags on me big time.

    and THAT is why firefox scares me. i tried to download it once and all kinds of hell broke loose. i told my dad to install it, but he never did. and i just asked him now, he says that the other pc in the house has google chrome on it.. to which my reply was "no wonder i hate browsing on that computer" LOL. i guess i just dont like change. sigh. i'm too young to be an old **** who cant keep up with the technology -.-

    i'll tell the real old **** to give me google chrome over here but not delete my IE just yet, just incase.

    Yeah, your best bet is keep your IE and try out the others, they do have better functionality than IE for the most part, but if you don't like how it feels then it's still a personal preference.
