Duke's shouts should be enabled again

His constant spiels were always entertaining and there's so much one misses out on (Wraith Attacks) when he's not being enthusiastic over the simplest things.

I miss Duke.

    Actually, it wasn't so much of an actual suggestion rather than a general thread about Duke, but okay.

    It would be nice to actually have Duke again.

    Yeah, put Duke back in. I miss his legitimate shouts, e.g. Wraith Events and announcements of who got stuff that they actually worked hard for (as opposed to, say, getting it from a gambling pack -_-).

    oh come on...duke spam was one of the most annoying thing during the rise of annni packs and i hope he dosent start it againb:shocked

    Yep. Wandered across one the other day with my lowbie alt. It was wonderful. There was only something like...5 other people attacking the wraith, the rest were just dodging the mobs. I gained so much exp and coin from that...It was wonderful.

    Honestly, I kind of liked just wandering across it. It gave me a chance to do something, compared to how it used to be when Duke would shout about them (High levels annihilating everything before you could poke it). It might aggravate some people not being able to get the dog tags and that, but at least some of the lowbies have a chance now.

    Personally, I think it would be nice if they just made it more targetted ...

    So Wraith attacks would be shouted, but only within the surrounding area. By 'surrounding' I mean not just one area (like in normal chat) but a few - like within the town, and any areas adjacent to the town.

    People getting married or receiving some special item could be limited to faction members and anyone on their friends list.

    I prefer it when wraith attacks aren't announced, actually. It keeps them from getting as crowded, and either I or one of my guildmates is usually in the right spot to notice when they start.

    People complained about the Red Text because of the initial frenzy of the anni packs.

    However, I am in agreement that Marriages (still there), special weapons/armors and even Wraith Attacks should be back.

    The shouts should only be re-enabled if the devs finally give us the ability to toggle system messages on/off (which should have been possible since the very beginning). I, for one, don't want to see constant Duke shouting.
