i was just doing a quest minding my own bussiness and out of no where this barb starting pking people out the rear end!!!b:cryb:cryb:cry

i could honestly say that he killed like 5 people before getting to me *sniff*


the purpose of this post is that if im not pking or dont even hav the slightest thought pking any one but do i lose any of my stuff???????????

plz tell me cause im not willing to lose my mount. (it was a mission to ask my mother for the money b:cry)

    If you only wanna PK part of the time, then you should have went with a PVE server. On a PVP server, it's like the Wild West...anything goes.

    To answer your question, if you're white named, I don't think so. Or if you can being a white named, the chances are pretty slim. However, if you were red named, be prepared to lose stuff.

    Yes HL is a pvp server...

    Raging Tide is the newest pve server if you want to move out

    btw.. Your mount won't be transfering with you if you decide to change servers

    Two things:

    1. You have a very very low chance to drop one thing in your inventory while white when you're PKed. However, it's very rare, and is only your inventory, not anything equipped.

    2. You will never drop a ground mount that's already been hatched into your pet bag. Nothing in your pet bag will ever drop.

    Harshlands and Lost City are the only PVP servers. All the others are PVE.

    mmmm well can some onee tell me the different between white names and red names cause i see em around alot!

    and is there any way i can transfer my char to a different server with every thing

    Red names are those who have killed a lot of other players, and have won. It's a symbol telling everyone else to watch out for them. White names are ones who haven't killed anyone lately, or PK'ed lately.

    And no, you can't.

    if you are white/light pink you won't drop anything you have equipped.

    You can not transfer your character or any of your belongings in game to any other server.

    I'd like to point out, that even if you AREN'T on a pvp server you can drop items. There is a 1% chance to drop an item even in pve mode. I've done it a few times but its usually stuff like my pick axe. My mother however dropped her cape of tauren chieften in a TT one day and didn't notice it til after. (she's a cleric so it wasn't as noticable while fighting) All the ppl she went with said they didn't get it, but u kno some1 did. But she had died 5x in the TT.

    As someone else said, if you don't wanna drop stuff carry scrolls, its expensive. But PvE would be for you if you don't want to have to worry about the scrolls.

    You dont need scrolls unless youre red and unbound and dont want to drop items and cant stay 2 hours in safe zone items or dont want to lose any exp while questing.

    I'd like to point out that this was changed. I know the user guide doesnt reflect it, but everyone knows its not up to date (cant fly in TW anyone?). When they introduced Shattered gear, they removed all chance of dropping items in PvE. I think it was a programming problem, where-in if items are bound, and/or in safety lock, they would shatter instead of dropping, and the programmers could not easily add a way to distiguish a random chance of dropping in PvE vs. PvP. This created the possibility of shattering gear in PvE if your items were bound or safety locked & the programmers did not want gear shattering in PvE at all. So they removed the 1% PvE drop chance entirely. This was stated somewhere in either the patch notes, or a GM sticky on a NOTICE: thread about shattered gear a while back.

    White name non pk dont drop nothing(very very very low chance)

    Red name pker drop rate high(gets higher ir if you pk more and more)

    You cant move your char but im pretty sure u low lvl for the question you asking so you can start over in a pve server just dont go to lost city one or harsslands...

    lol well you can't tell him to not kill you well because *cough* *Quote* "Its a PvP server, he/she doesn't have to abide to YOUR rules"

    as for the item losin, if ya can't buy scrolls and such, you don't wanna risk losin something, just reroll on a PvE server

    The instance of this happening that I'm talking about was just 2 days ago. I also dropped something upon death since the tideborn release. So if they fixed it, it wasn't fixed on the HT server... that or my mom and I are both losing our minds.

    Either way.. PvP is what it is. You will drop stuff likely if you die without scrolls.

    it honestly isnt so bad. Just dont fight back if someone tries to kill you unless its an even match. Also if you dont rpk white names you dont have to worry about dropping your mount or gear.

    Oh also, We also have people who cry losing items on our PvE servers. (They buy 10 teleacoustic to tell us who and when Pked them and took them a gear that worth 30k) The problem is that people think they are unkilable, go in pk mode (or log on a PvP server) then meet beasts like meb:bye
